At Jerry Green Dog Rescue, we use social media to keep you, our 'pawsome s

upporters', up to date with our work and opportunities to get involved. It's also a place for people to share experiences if they wish, and to start wider conversations about dogs, and their welfare. Bear, a lovable 4-year-old Chow Chow, found herself looking for a new forever home when her previous owner sadly became unwell.

Bear was placed onto our Home from Home® scheme, where she was able to remain in the comfort of her previous home while the team searched for the perfect family to give her the love and security she deserved.

With her unique breed and personality, it didn’t take long before a lovely couple with experience of Chow Chow’s came along. From the very first meeting, they completely fell in love with her and couldn’t wait to make her part of their family.

Now affectionately nicknamed “Mama Bear”, she has settled beautifully into her new home. Her adopters have quickly discovered her adorable habit of taking their shoes to bed so she can cuddle up beside them.

Her family shared:

“She is doing brilliantly well and is a complete joy. All those who meet are all amazed how sociable and affectionate she is – she goes off lead on the park her recall is wonderful – she has won our hearts.”

We wish Bear and her new family all the happiness in their future together! 💚🐾

Join us for our next Woofing Walkies at our North Lincolnshire Centre! 🐾

Whether you bring your own pooch or simply fancy enjoying a woodland stroll alongside fellow dog-lovers and their four-legged companions, everyone is welcome.

When: Saturday 13th June, 10am (please arrive 10 minutes early)
Duration: Around 45 minutes
Where: Jerry Green Dog Rescue, Broughton, DN20 0BJ

Happy Friday everyone! My name's Bruno, and I'm hoping to find my very own forever home. 🐾

I'm looking for a calm and patient adult-only home where I can settle in at my own pace. I can be a little nervous at first, but with time and understanding, I start to build strong and affectionate bonds. I might be able to share a home with another dog pending successful introductions.

There's one very quick way to my heart... food! I love tasty treats, especially sausages. I also love to go out for walks and have a good sniff at everything.

I'm a proper Dachshund at heart - heaps of personality, loads of charm, and I do tend to use my voice to share my opinions.

It might take me a little bit of time to trust you, but once I've decided you're my person, I will show you so much love.

Hi there, I'm Odie! 🐾

I'm a friendly soul who gets so excited about the world, I'm just waiting to find a special forever home where I can spend my days going for walks, playing with toys, and soaking up the sunshine.

I may be an older chap, but don't let my age fool you! I have a real zest for life and have plenty of bounce left in my paws.

The way to my heart is treats - especially whole raw carrots! And if you're up for playing tuggy games with me, well, I think we'll be best friends in no time.

What I'm looking for is a calm, loving home where I will be the only pet. Having access to a secure garden is a must, and I also want to be able to enjoy daily walks. I can live with younger humans aged 11+, and if you need to go out, I'm happy to stay at home alone for up to four hours once I've settled into my new space.

Hello, Basil here! 💚

I'm a handsome (if I do say so myself), friendly, and affectionate Staffie cross in search of a forever home to call my own.

I may be 8 years old, but I still have plenty of life and adventures left in me! I love nothing more than exploring new places and then ending my days cuddling on the sofa with my favourite people.

I’m looking for a home where I can be your one and only pet. Other dogs can make me feel a little worried, and cats are just far too interesting for me. I could happily live with dog-savvy children aged 11 and over who understand bigger, playful dogs like me.

While I settle into my new home, I'd prefer for someone to be at home with me to gradually build up my confidence. Once I'm settled into my new space and routine, I should be okay to be alone for up to two hours.

What I'm looking for most of all is for someone to love. If you have a secure garden with 6ft fences, and a love for affectionate boys like me, I might just be your perfect match. In return, I promise to give you loyalty, companionship, and enough cuddles to last a lifetime!
