🎊🎉1 YEAR BUILDING ANNIVERSARY🎉🎊
Today's reintroduction!
Born in South Africa, Monika Kleyenstuber originally came to the UK for what was meant to be a one-year experience. One year became two, then three, and before long the UK had become home. In September 2024, she established Small Paws Veterinary Services, bringing with her more than 20 years of veterinary experience and a wealth of clinical expertise.
Committed to providing the highest standard of care, Monika has completed a range of advanced clinical qualifications. Alongside her veterinary training, she pursued her interest in complementary and alternative veterinary medicine, qualifying as a McTimoney Animal Practitioner and gaining certifications in Western Veterinary Acupuncture and Chronic Pain Management. She has also completed a Certificate in Small Animal Surgery, reflecting her passion for surgical practice.
A surgeon at heart, Monika particularly enjoys surgical cases but also values the opportunity to provide veterinary care in the comfort of patients' homes. Home visits are especially beneficial for owners who find it difficult to travel to a clinic, as well as for pets who become stressed by visits to the veterinary surgery.
Outside of work, Monika's kids all have four legs and plenty of fur. Much to their dismay, they frequently find themselves modelling whenever a camera appears. When her pets have had enough of posing, Monika turns her lens towards wildlife, always seeking her next great photograph. The more unusual and exotic the subject, the better. Some of her favourite wildlife images can even be found on the Small Paws vaccination cards.
When it's time to escape the demands of everyday life, Monika's love of travel takes over. Whether exploring remote landscapes or discovering new destinations, she is always in search of the perfect nature photograph and her next wildlife adventure.
