Week one of Heidi and Milo's stay is over, a week in which we experienced strange wet stuff falling from the sky for the first time in ages. However, it has not dampened the enjoyment of lovely walks at Sewerby and in the woods, and a nice visit to the Filey Food Festival.

It was also lovely to walk Wilf again, who we havent seen for a few months since the arrival of his baby sister. He had a lovely time on the beach at Danes D**e.

It is certainly feeling autumnal and it will soon be time to dig out the long trousers, hats, gloves and waterproofs. Oh well, all good things come to an end. It has been a lovely summer and winter will be just as much fun I am sure.

Sadly we had to let Jessica go back home after a lovely week. She particularly enjoyed her mornings in Filey and Brid, and visits to several cafes during her stay. We look forward to seeing her again next year.

We have now been joined by Milo, a little Chinese Crested Powderpuff (!) and Heidi, a Patterdale, They will be with us for three weeks so you will be seeing plenty of pictures of them I'm sure. Here are a few from the past seven days to be putting you on.

Well, another two weeks have flown by and here we are at the end of September with only 88 sleeps until Christmas. Time to put the sprouts on.
We had a lovely week with Nancy, and she particularly enjoyed her trip to Scarborough for walks round Peaseholme Park, the Mere , and up Oliver's Mount. Another morning in Filey, a walk to Thornwick and the usual trips to Danes D**e, lighthouse and local woods filled the week. We look forward to seeing her again in November for her 23rd stay with us.
Now we have Jessica with us for just her second stay. A lively Jagdterrier she will certainly keep us busy for the week ahead.

We've had a lovely week with our guests Nancy and Martha.
There have been walks on the beaches at Hunmanby, South Landing and Brid; in the woods at Danes D**e, Whelkie Wynds (in Flamborough) and Sewerby; across the fields to Thornwick; and a visit to the RSPB at Bempton. We are so lucky in having such a variety of lovely walks on our doorstep - variety for us as well as the dogs!
Where will this coming week with Nancy take us? We'll tell you next week!

The last fortnight has been fun!
We enjoyed another visit from Tank, Ted, Phoebe and Candy, four very lively and friendly ferrets. They loved running round the garage and playing in an obstacle course of boxes and tubes.
Also, for the first time in 12 years, we also looked after a bird, Milo the cockatiel, who gave lovely renditions of "If you're happy and you know it..." . He sang beautifully, but also enjoyed plucking hairs out of Roy's leg!.
However, for our usual fix of canine pleasure we also enjoyed further visits from Ted and Nancy, and it has been lovely to see Martha again.
It's nice to be busy!

It's been a while, but we're back! We hope you have all enjoyed the glorious summer (so far).
After a lovely holiday in Italy, which is fading rapidly in the memory, we have eased ourselves back in with a few shorts stays from some of our old friends Nancy, Ted and Toffee.
We are now into a busy spell with bookings for the next thirteen weekends in a row, so we are looking forward to some lovely walks and happy times with our furry guests, before our next break in November.
Let's hope the summer stretches out for a couple more months!

We've had a lovely couple of weeks with old and new friends. Our Haxby hounds, Ronnie and Bella, have been for another of their regular holidays and local girl Toffee enjoyed her first sleepover. It has been glorious weather and Wilf joined in for some walks in the woods where it has been a little cooler.
We're taking a little break now so will catch up in a couple of weeks, enjoy the sunshine. It might be a little warmer where we are going.

Caring for dogs can be very hard on your emotions.
We had a lovely week with Sam boarding, day care visits from Bella 2 and Pepper, and walks with Wilf.
We all know what pleasure it brings to be out in the woods, walking in the fields or to be on the beach having fun with our furry friends. But alongside this comes the heartache of losing them and this week we were saddened to hear of the passing of our lovely little friend Molly. Our thoughts are with Rob and Sue.

It has been another glorious week and another busy week.
We welcomed back for a week's holiday our old friend Sam, who we haven't seen for a couple of years. One of our regulars, the lovely Nancy, was back for another night, and we still have the five guest ferrets enjoying their stay. Wilf enjoyed a couple of hours in the garden when it was too hot for a midday walk.
June is Flowerpot Festival month here in Flamborough so we have also been busy building our display - dog themed of course! Do come to have a look!
