🌿 THAT’S A WRAP ON SEASON 2! 🌿

And just like that… click. 🔐

The LeafyGreen Micro Shop is officially closed for the final time this season, and what a season it has been!

Season 2 has been bigger, busier, more exciting and, quite honestly, a little bit bonkers at times. From the Micro Shop to plant fairs, school events, shows, community days and everything in between, I’ve been incredibly lucky to meet so many wonderful people and find homes for so many of my plants.

So, from the bottom of my very green heart… THANK YOU. 💚

Thank you for buying my plants.
Thank you for coming back.
Thank you for recommending LeafyGreen to your friends.
Thank you for stopping for a chat.
Thank you for supporting a tiny local nursery and the slightly plant-obsessed person behind it.

Every single bit of support and custom has been hugely appreciated.

But this isn’t goodbye… it’s just goodbye for now. 👋🌱

Because LeafyGreen is going to be doing some serious growing over the winter.

🌱 Bigger growing spaces
🌿 Bigger and even more exciting events
🤝 New collaborations
🌻 More plants
💚 And an open garden event in aid of a charity that is particularly close to my heart.

There are already plenty of plans germinating behind the scenes, and I absolutely cannot wait to share them with you.

The 2027 season will be here before we know it — dates will follow — and I have a feeling Season 3 is going to be rather special.

🌿 WEMBDON DAY BARGAIN HUNT! 🌿

We’re taking advantage of the end of the 2026 growing season to give our herbaceous perennials a little change of scenery — and you a chance to grab some proper plant bargains! 🌱💚

Some of these beauties are beginning to wind down for the year, but don’t be fooled by their end-of-season appearance…

🌱 They’re not finished — they’re just getting ready for winter.
🌸 Many will disappear back beneath the soil before returning bigger and better next spring.

So if you’re happy to look beyond the foliage and imagine what’s coming next year, Wembdon Day is the place to find a bargain.

Hello planty friends!

This heatwave has caused absolute havoc across the growing community, and I know many growers have been battling relentlessly to keep their plants happy, healthy and alive.

Luckily for me, I’ve been able to step out of the fight until Mother Nature decides to turn the thermostat down a bit.

But make no mistake… I haven’t been sitting around doing nothing.

Whilst I may not have been actively pursuing plant sales — working IN the business — I’ve been very, very busy working ON the business.

Exciting plans are afoot. 🌱

I’ve been working on ways to increase automated production, continuing the push towards using only harvested rainwater and solar energy, and dreaming up new planting schemes for the Nursery Garden.

And today was a BIG day…

I BOUGHT A POLYTUNNEL! 🎉🌱🥳

In true 'Micro' style, three metres by six metres of propagation potential is coming to LeafyGreen, and I am quite frankly BLINKING EXCITED about it!

It’s the next little step in making LeafyGreen bigger, better and even more sustainable — whilst still very much keeping it LeafyGreen.

So while the plants have been taking a well-earned pause from the heat, I’ve been plotting their future.

And believe me… the future is looking VERY green. 💚🌱

More production. More plants. More nursery garden. More LeafyGreen.

Bring on the polytunnel! 🎉

Four weeks left of our 2026 plant trading season!

The great plant clearance continues, and today’s bargain heading into the LeafyGreen Micro Shop is Achillea ‘Walther Funke’.

£10 for two plants.

If your garden has spent this summer looking at the hosepipe with longing, this is one to pay attention to. Once established, Walther Funke is wonderfully drought tolerant, loves a hot, sunny spot, and keeps flowering through summer with rich burnt orange and rusty-red blooms that age beautifully over time.

It’s the sort of perennial that quietly gets on with the job while other plants start writing strongly worded letters about the lack of rain.

Tough, beautiful, pollinator-friendly, and now £10 for two.

The heat has finally eased, the watering can can have a little rest, and gardening can recommence. Hurrah!

I’m willing to bet that after the last few weeks there are a few suspicious gaps in your borders where plants have waved the white flag.

The good news? I’ve got plenty of beautiful bargain plants looking for their forever gardens, and they’d be more than happy to fill those gaps.

The Micro Shop is stocked with end-of-season bargains, so come and rescue a few plants before someone else does.

Your borders will thank you.

With less than 6 weeks of the 2026 season remaining, there are a few beautiful LeafyGreen plants who are now looking for their forever gardens. 🏡🌱

So, over the coming days, I’ll be introducing some of the plants that are ready to leave the nursery and start their next chapter with you.
