“I only do a bit of flatwork with my horse…” and ‘’I’m not ready to have a dressage lesson yet’’ are two things I hear so often!
If you don’t think you’re ready for a flatwork lesson given by a dressage rider, that’s exactly the time it could benefit you the most!
Dressage and flatwork aren’t two different things. Dressage simply means training.
If you’re working on better transitions, keeping your horse in canter, improved steering or simply getting your horse to listen to your aids more clearly—you’re already doing dressage.
You don’t need a fancy warmblood, white breeches or ambitions to compete. You don’t even have to call yourself a dressage rider.
Whether you want to feel safer out hacking, make jumping easier or simply enjoy riding your horse more, good flatwork gives you the foundations.
Whatever your horse, your level or your goals, dressage is for you. 🐴
We offer private and shared lessons at Cork Farm, so if you want some support from a friend then come along together with your horses and share a flatwork session.
