🎆 Firework season is approaching… let’s help our furry friends feel safe and comfortable! 🐾
🏠 Create a safe space
Set up a quiet, comfortable area indoors where your pet can retreat and feel secure. Include their favourite bed, blankets and toys, and let them settle there whenever they need to.
📺 Reduce the noise
Close windows, doors and curtains to help muffle the sound and block out flashes of light. Playing the TV, radio or calming music can also help distract your pet from the noise outside.
🌿 Consider calming products
Calming pheromone products, such as Pet Remedy, may help reduce stress and anxiety in some pets. Starting these products before fireworks begin can be beneficial. We offer a Pet Remedy firework kit that includes a diffuser, a spray and wipes to help reduce stress and anxiety.
🐶 Stay calm and reassuring
Your pet may look to you for reassurance, so try to remain calm and relaxed. Allow them to hide or stay close to you if they choose, and never force them out of their safe space.
