Paws Outdoors, Bridgwater Dog Walking Services I went on to rescue and rehabilitate wild seals at a seal sanctuary in Lincolnshire and train sealions at a zoological park in North Devon.

I grew up in Surrey and moved away when I was nineteen to go to De Montfort University in Lincolnshire, graduating in 2002 with a BSc (Honours) First Class degree in Animal Science (Behaviour). In my late twenties I swapped my animal career for a career in finance, ending up in Bridgwater working as a Management Accountant for EDF Energy for over ten years. Another decade on and another life chang

ing decision - to step away from the rat race and focus on job satisfaction (full circle really!) - and so I set up my own dog walking business, Paws Outdoors, in 2021. I have even been back to college to complete an Introduction to Canine Behaviour course and a Canine First Aid course. Over a year on and it's the best decision I ever made - spending my days with our amazing Staffordshire Bull Terrier Hugo and all of the wonderful dogs that are now part of the Paws Outdoors family. I cannot help but smile when I watch them running and playing in the fields and streams in and around our wonderful town. Thank you to all my wonderful clients and their dogs for making Paws Outdoors what it is today and to my amazing friends and family for giving me the courage to follow my dreams :)

To every client, past and present, thank you ☺️. Thank you for choosing Paws Outdoors, recommending me to friends and family, supporting my small business, and allowing me to be part of your dogs’ lives.

I should also mention Hugo, my wonderful partner in crime and Paws Outdoors CEO. The business started with you and every day we get to go to work together, pick up your best friends and enjoy the stunning Somerset countryside. Thank you for being the most amazing pup and friend to all the floofs in the Paws Outdoors family.

I also have to mention the amazing local professional dog walkers that have inspired and supported me along the way. This profession throws up unique challenges and your words of wisdom have been invaluable. Special thanks to Courtney Vale at The Hairy Dog - Dog Grooming for giving me the confidence to leave the corporate world and be my own boss - best decision I ever made.
