When the whining doesn't work, a paw and a cute little chin rest, with puppy dog eyes, should do the trick! 🥺

A busy and successful weekend of Rally at SWAT. Ember achieved an Excellent score in levels 3 and 4, and another Qualifying score in level 3 🥳

We also took part in the first Allbreedience competition in the South West. We've been working hard towards this for a couple of months, and it paid off as we came second place 🥳
Thanks to my teammates Jo and Hallie, Sooz and Goose, and Sue and Cinders stepped in as reserve (we missed you Viki and Freddie 🥲). Such great fun, hopefully we'll see more of these competitions and have more teams locally soon 😁

Thank you Sue Howlett for organising the show, and Allbreedience, seeming to be in three places at once all weekend, superwoman! 😅
Thanks to the judges, scribes, and everyone who helped make the show possible.
Thank you to AC Photography UK for capturing the event, and sending me a few sneak peak photos (last 3 pics). I hope you enjoyed your first big gig in dog photography!
And thank you to Nathaniel for chauffeuring us, keeping me company, managing the dogs, and organising the things I don't think of (like food and drinks for the humans in the Swiftbewek team 😂).

Confidence building in scentwork at Woofy's Warehouse with Paws4Teaching (thanks for the photos!). Trinket and Ochre. They both struggled a bit with being on the higher level without me there, the tunnel, and possibly a little bit with the changes in flooring. But both overcame those challenges (Ochre even did several laps in a row, over the top and through the tunnel, very proud of himself! 😂🥰).
Especially proud of Ochre, he really hasn't done that much scentwork training, but he still knew what he was doing 🥳

A couple of weeks late, but here's Ember with her most recent Rally winnings from Somerset Rally 🥳 It was our first go at levels 3 and 4, and she earned a very respectable 189 (qualifying score) in level 3, and 195 (Excellent score) in level 4.
Not surprisingly the courses were much more challenging than levels 1 and 2, and I really enjoyed having our skills put to the test. We've got a few skills that we absolutely need to unpick and retrain (wonky downs, and pivot lefts!) but we're loving the journey 🥰

Thanks to the judges, scribes, and helpers. And especially Pat Somerset for organising the weekend, and picking up my rosettes and certificates for me 🧡
And Sue Howlett, as always, for all the training and advice. Looking forward to the next competition! 🐾

Last weekend Ochre dipped his toe into the world of hoopers competing at Mischief Managed Pet Training yearly competition. He smashed his courses, picking up a first in hoopers, second in barrelers/tunnellers, and third place in the special (course handled without verbal cues). Ember came and demoed some lovely distance work, and had a go at the special as well, achieving a clear round (but got beaten by her grandson! 😱🫣). Look at that face, she had such a great time 🥰
Big thanks to AC Photography for photographing the day.

Ember knows the drill. Trinket can do the 'stay' part, if not the nicest stand 😅

Labrador meet up! Litter mates Stevo, Ruby, Nellie, and Ochre, mum Trinket, and grandma Ember had a fun afternoon running, swimming, playing, and stealing sausages (Ember! 🙄😂). We should get a restful evening now 😴🥰
They're all such lovely dogs, and I'm so grateful for their families, they're all doing amazing stuff! Hopefully we can get even more labradors at the next one! 🤗🧡
