Hayley at All for Woofs and I ran our Relax workshop this morning. Just two puppers today, so we had plenty of time to learn a few skills, play the backpack game, work on settles, have a few little walks around, and finish on some freework 🥰 And we finished in time before the heavens opened! 🌧️🌧️🌈

What an amazing two days learning about judging for the DDT. There's a lot more to this style of scentwork than a box-check of find the hide ✅ and in the fastest time ⏳ Looking at the whole picture is complicated, but fascinating. And I've definitely come away with a lot more confidence to begin judging fairly and accurately.
Thanks to Georgie Detection Dog Trials for sharing your knowledge and experience. Jo Paws4Teaching for organising, and Gwen Dogs Matter for allowing us to use your barn for theory day. And Gillian for the photos!
And Trinket of course for being one of the many demo dogs of our practical day 🥰 She had to put up with a tired handler! 😅

A very hot weekend competing with Ember at Somerset Rally. The show was really well organised, and wrapped up early both days. Thank you to all the organisers, judges, scribes and helpers! And everyone who made the weekend a fun and supportive environment.
Ember got 4 Excellent scores with placings - super dog! Despite being hot and tired, she did her very best, and got us up to level 3&4. I'm very pleased, and proud of her 🥰
Big thank you to Sue Howlett who has taught me so much about the sport, and I definitely still feel like I'm just scratching the surface 🙈 Your enthusiasm is so infectious, and I just love that you are all of your students biggest cheerleader!
