Looking forward to our 2nd BHS Clinic held at Rexworthy Farm in Fred’s very own stable. You have your choice of a morning or afternoon, learning about your body and its learned tensions , as well as being able to observe 3 other riders. We have found this is incredibly useful for the brains ability to learn and go away with new information. I look forward to working with more like minded people who are keen to improve themselves and ultimate make life easier for their horse. 💞

Join us for some fabulous training with Tamsin-Clark-Tarr (as featured in Horse and Hound).

Chose a morning or afternoon session to learn more about the art of classical riding which is rooted in ‘old master’ techniques that have been adapted to modern horse welfare.

Following some introductory theory you will move onto ‘Fred’ the simulated horse to highlight your strengths and areas for improvement. You will then be given exercises specific to you before a further session on the horse to consolidate your learning. You’ll be amazed at how the smallest adjustment can make the biggest difference and your horse will thank you for it.

Tea, coffee, cake and a friendly and supportive learning environment awaits.

Caroline is demonstrating nicely how the riders spine MUST align with the horses. In the neck rein turn, she puts her body in a right bend position, while asking Vino to take his shoulders to the left. Her weight is in the left seat bone so that she travels with Vino.

Caroline is working hard on relaxation of her upper body and continues to enjoy her sessions on Fred the simulator.

Learning légèreté is an absolute joy, but it has it's challenges because the devil is in the detail. Fred is proving to be very useful in helping people to breakdown the 'how to', as well as teaching feel, without the added complication of the horses emotions being involved. Good old Fred, he has no head! 😂

Caroline Fry & Vino at our last 'Learn Légèreté' ridden clinic.
Nikki Stephens had expertly assigned the perfect exercises for Vino & Caroline and they were then sent over to Tamsin Clarke Tarr Classical Rider Training UK for some tweaking and fine tuning. This picture was taken when Vino began to open up his trot into the neck extension, and use his back more. Considering he has a few physical issues, he looked pleased with himself and comfortable... the true blessings of Philippe Karl's School of Légèreté UK and the specialist schooling and training by Nikki Stephens Burcott Riding Centre. Thanks to this system, so many horses can have a truly happy life, enjoying their work with no force or unwarranted stress. 🥰
