โ๏ธ DOG TRAINING & HOT WEATHER โ๏ธ
As the weather starts warming up, your dogโs safety will always come first here ๐๐พ
If temperatures are rising above 23ยฐC for a scheduled training session, the session will not take place and will instead be rearranged for a cooler day/time.
While training is important, itโs never worth risking heat stress or heat exhaustion. Sessions can always be rescheduled, your dogโs wellbeing comes first, always!
Please also keep an eye out for signs of heat stress in dogs, including:
๐ถ Heavy panting
๐ถ Bright red gums/tongue
๐ถ Lethargy or weakness
๐ถ Vomiting or diarrhoea
๐ถ Glazed eyes
๐ถ Wobbliness/unsteadiness
During warmer weather:
๐ง Always carry water
๐ณ Stick to shaded areas
๐ซ Avoid exercising during the hottest parts of the day
๐พ Keep walks shorter and calmer if needed
Thank you for helping me keep your dogs safe, happy and healthy this summer โ๏ธ๐
