Dolly came to visit us on Friday for her first vaccination and was as brave as can be! 💕 While we're not sure she was overly impressed with posing at our Autumn Selfie Station, she still looked absolutely precious. 🥰

Our pets do so much more than make us smile. They provide companionship, comfort, and unconditional love, often helping us through life's more difficult moments.

Today, we're celebrating the positive impact animals can have on our wellbeing and encouraging everyone to take a little time for self-care. Whether that's enjoying a walk with your dog, spending quality time with your pet, or simply taking a moment to recharge, every small step matters.

🎆 Fireworks Season is Approaching - Is Your Pet Prepared? 🐾

While fireworks can be exciting for us, they can be a frightening and stressful experience for many pets. Dogs, cats, rabbits, and other small animals may become anxious due to the loud noises and bright flashes.

💊 Some pets may benefit from medication or other support to help them cope. This can be discussed with one of our veterinary surgeons, so we recommend booking an appointment well in advance of firework events.

Helpful Tips to Support Your Pet During Fireworks:

✅ Create a safe, comfortable hiding place where your pet can retreat.
✅ Close curtains and windows to reduce noise and flashes of light.
✅ Play calming music or keep the television on to help mask firework sounds.
✅ Make sure your pet is microchipped and that contact details are up to date.
✅ Walk dogs earlier in the day before fireworks are likely to begin.
✅ Keep cats and small pets safely indoors during firework displays.
✅ Remain calm and act normally, as pets can pick up on our emotions.

They are currently receiving treatment in our Bridgend Hospital.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Reception Team at our Bridgend Hospital.

📍 Location: Bridgend Hospital
💷 Salary: £13.50 per hour
⏰ Hours: 14 hours per week

Working Pattern:
• Thursday: 8:00am - 4:00pm
• Friday: 12:00pm - 8:00pm

As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play a vital role in creating a positive experience both in person and over the telephone. This is a varied, customer-facing position that combines reception, administration, and customer service duties.
Key Responsibilities:

✅ Providing clients with information to support the care of their pets under veterinary guidance

✅ Handling cash and card payments and completing end-of-day cashing up procedures

✅ Maintaining customer confidentiality and building trusted relationships with clients

✅ Managing client enquiries and updating patient records

✅ Completing a range of administrative tasks

✅ Supporting the team to deliver an exceptional customer experience

✔ Excellent customer service and administration skills
✔ Strong verbal and written communication skills
✔ High attention to detail and pride in your work
✔ A reliable, empathetic, and self-motivated team player
✔ Enthusiastic with a strong work ethic
✔ Full UK driving licence

Previous receptionist experience is desirable but not essential.
