🏆 What a night!

We didn’t bring home the Best Customer Service trophy last night — but we are still incredibly proud to have been named one of the final eight in the 2026 National Entrepreneur Awards.

From thousands of entries, to reach the final in a category that means so much to us is a huge achievement in itself.

Customer service has always been at the heart of OvenGleamers — not as a department, but as something built into every stage of the customer journey.

And the thing we are proudest of?

Our customers keep coming back.

More than 70% of our bookings are from repeat or recommended customers, and that means more to us than any trophy ever could.

So today, we’re not disappointed.

We’re proud.

Proud of our team.

Tonight’s the night… the National Entrepreneur Awards 2026 at the ICC Birmingham, and OvenGleamers is up for Best Customer Service. 💙

We’re incredibly proud just to have made the final eight — but of course we’d absolutely love to bring that trophy home!

🏆 Today’s the day!

We’re heading to Birmingham today for the National Entrepreneur Awards, where OvenGleamers is a finalist for Best Customer Service 2026.

It still feels pretty incredible to say that.

We’ve spent the last few days sharing some of the things that went into our award entry — from the little details in our customer journey, to the fact that more than 70% of our bookings come from repeat or recommended customers.

But today, it’s really about saying thank you.

To our brilliant Bookings Team.

To our OvenGleamers out there every day looking after customers in their homes.

And to all of you who book us, come back to us, recommend us, review us and tell your friends about us.

You’re a huge part of the reason we’re here.

🏆 The bit of our Best Customer Service entry we’re probably most proud of…

It isn’t the systems.

It isn’t the reminders.

It isn’t even the fact that we’re now one of eight finalists.

It’s this:

More than 70% of our bookings come from repeat or recommended customers.

That means the majority of the people who book OvenGleamers are either coming back to us again… or have been sent to us by somebody who trusted us enough to recommend us.

And that means a huge amount.

Some customers come back every year.

Some leave it two, three, even five years.

But when the oven finally gets to the point where they think, “Right, I really need to get this done…” — they come back to us.

For us, that is what great customer service is really about.

Not just doing a good job once.

But creating an experience people remember, trust and are happy to recommend.

So if you’ve ever booked us again, told a friend about us, left us a review or passed our number on…

🏆 So… what does “Best Customer Service” actually mean to us?

Being named a finalist this week has made us think about all the little things we do every day that customers probably don’t even notice.

For us, great customer service isn’t one big “wow” moment.

It’s things like:

💙 Giving you a proper appointment time — not a vague half-day window
💙 Being clear about pricing before you book
💙 Sending reminders so you know exactly when we’re coming
💙 Letting you know if we’re running early or late
💙 Treating your home with care and respect
💙 Asking you to check the finished clean before we leave
💙 Following up afterwards to make sure you’re happy
💙 And, most importantly, if something isn’t quite right — taking ownership and putting it right

In fact, every customer receives our Happiness Check shortly after their clean, because we genuinely want to know how we did. We even moved that follow-up from 24 hours after the appointment to just one hour afterwards, so if there is anything we need to know about, we can deal with it quickly.

That’s why this line from our award entry sums it up perfectly:

“Exceptional customer service isn’t one ‘wow’ moment — it’s hundreds of thoughtful details.”

And apparently, somebody noticed… because we’re now one of the final eight! 🥰🏆

☀️ Make the Most of Summer

Summer always seems to disappear far too quickly.

Before we know it, the children will be back at school, the evenings will be drawing in and we'll all be wondering where the sunshine went!

So here's our challenge for this week...

☀️ Have the BBQ.

🚶 Visit somewhere new.
👨👩👧👦 Spend time with family.
❤️ Make memories.

We recently visited Killerton House & Gardens near Exeter and absolutely loved it. Beautiful gardens, woodland walks, family games, a fascinating fashion exhibition and, of course... a lovely café! It made us realise that some of the best summer days are often the simplest ones.
