Milo settling down to enjoy last week’s storm.

If only all dogs could feel this chilled during a storm. (The sound of water is from our pond… not invisible heavy rain 🤣)

Milo aka ‘Mr Take it all in his stride’ has returned and I don’t think we’ve ever packed more into one dog’s holiday!

Robin, Milo and I went into Cheltenham twice to Richer Sounds to purchase a new telly.

Milo joined us for a slap up neighbours’ lunch at The Pheasant in Toddington (highly recommended).

We celebrated the first downpour by getting soaked, which is Milo’s idea of heaven, and thanks to the rain, Milo made friends with a frog.

And poor Milo got a seed embedded in the top of his paw (and yes, it was over the Bank Holiday! 🙄). Thank goodness for a recent First Aid course that I completed as we were able to treat his paw at home. Lots of treats were earned, and his tiny paw is now healing nicely.

Well done Milo for being up for anything this week (as long as your beloved uncle Robin was within touching distance 💕).

I popped in to see Leo this week for some more bonding time before his first holiday with us, and big brother Teddy, a bit later in the year.

It’s going to be chaos having them both… I cannot wait 🤗🤗

Bonjour!!! Lance has returned!

Not many of our boarders are used to walking through a town and so the unusual surroundings can be quite unsettling.

Lance on the other hand is an old pro so was more than happy to strut his stuff through Cheltenham this week, even meeting a Frenchman along the way, although when invited to ‘assis’ he declined the offer to sit, although I’m sure if a croissant had been on offer he could have been persuaded 🤣.

Until next time beautiful boy.

We all know that each dog’s nose print is unique… I think Bonnie’s has more uniqueness than most… look at that nose action 🤗🤗

What could be lovelier than a video of Bonnie gently nibbling on a slice of watermelon in the glow of the evening sun I thought…think again Marian! I spent the next 30 seconds wrestling the rind out of her mouth 🤣🤣🤣

You may remember Bonnie, even though it’s been three years since she last came to stay, because of her striking appearance.

Bonnie is a labradoodle; she’s the only dog of this breed who we have had to stay, and what a lovely introduction to the breed she is… she has to be one of the most affectionate dogs that we have welcomed into our home.

We’ve had shady walks through the woods, endless early morning games of fetch, she destuffed a crocodile and a cow, and enjoyed large wedges of watermelon, but her absolute favourite activity during her week with us was lying down on the sofa in the evenings, with Robin or me, and drifting off into a deep sleep in front of the tv

We have really fallen for Bonnie but then who wouldn’t 😊💕

A few of you eagle eyed followers will have noticed that our garden is still hanging on to its greenness.

We need lots of cool shady areas for the dogs so rest and they love to mooch in the undergrowth too but, much as I’d love to get the sprinkler out I can’t, so Robin has rigged up a syphon system to suck our shower water into the water butts each morning.

Lugging all of the water around the garden is hard work but I’m hoping as well as having a greenish garden that the bingo wings will disappear too!!

(Needless to say, the 🍅 plants are watered with fresh water)
