🐾 Unlicensed Dog Boarders Are Becoming a UK Crisis — Here’s What We’re Seeing
Over the past 48 hours, we’ve identified more than 40 people advertising dog boarding services across the UK — and not one of them held a licence. This problem isn’t slowing down. It’s accelerating.
Unlicensed boarding isn’t just illegal. It’s unsafe, unregulated and puts dogs at real risk. No inspections. No welfare checks. No insurance. No accountability. And to make matters worse, many councils aren’t even reacting when cases are reported — with one council failing to comply with a Freedom of Information request entirely.
We’re working directly with local authorities to report every unlicensed boarder we find, but the scale of the issue is growing faster than enforcement.
If you care about dog welfare, transparency and proper regulation, this is a must‑read.
