πΎ A LITTLE REMINDER ABOUT CANCELLATIONS & NO-SHOWS πΎ
We completely understand that life happens.
Things go wrong. Children get sick. Cars break down. Money can suddenly become tight. Emergencies happen, and we would never expect someone to put a dog groom before something genuinely important.
But we also need you to understand the other side of the appointment. β€οΈ
When you cancel at the last minute or simply don't turn up, that appointment cannot usually be filled again.
That means a groomer can sit for an hour or more with an empty table, while still having to pay the rent, wages, electricity, water, insurance, products, equipment, business costs and all the other expenses that come with running a salon.
And unlike a product sitting on a shelf, an empty appointment can't be sold tomorrow. Once that hour is gone, it's gone.
We regularly have clients waiting weeks for an appointment, so when someone doesn't attend, there may also be another dog that could have had that space.
We absolutely appreciate that customers have financial struggles, but please remember that small businesses do too. β€οΈ
Most of us aren't large companies with huge financial cushions behind us. We're ordinary people trying to earn a living, pay our bills and keep our businesses running.
So when we have a cancellation policy, it isn't because we're trying to make extra money or punish anyone.
It's there to protect the time we've reserved specifically for you and your dog.
If you know you can't make your appointment, please give us as much notice as possible. Even a message can make a huge difference, because it gives us a chance to offer the appointment to someone else.
And if something genuinely unexpected happens, please just communicate with us. We are human too, and we will always try to be reasonable where we can. πΆβ€οΈ
All we ask in return is a little consideration for the fact that behind every small grooming business is a person, a family, bills to pay and a livelihood.
Your appointment is our working time, please treat it as something valuable.
Thank you to everyone who respects our time, turns up for their appointments and gives us plenty of notice when they can't. We genuinely appreciate you. π₯°πΎ
Small businesses need customers, but small businesses also need customers who understand that their time has value. β€οΈ
