🍁Autumn Hazards - WALKS🍁

1️⃣ When planning a muddy walk, always remember to bring a towel so that you can clean and dry those mucky paws and legs once finished.
🐾Paws can become irritated or cracked from damp leaves, grit, or cold surfaces leading to discomfort or infection if not dried and checked regularly.🐾

2️⃣ Always wear bright coloured clothing if walking your pet at night and ensure your pets are visible by investing in suitable reflective harnesses, high visibility coats, LED collars or lights.

3️⃣ Make sure your pet has ID: Ensure your pet is microchipped and that the chip remains registered with your most up-to-date contact details.

🍁Autumn Hazards - ACORNS🍁

Fallen conkers and acorns are a key identifier that autumn has arrived, but both of these can cause harm to our canine friends.

🍂Conkers and Acrons contain toxins which can cause vomiting, depending on the quantity ingested. Due to their size, they are also a choking hazard and may cause internal blockages if swallowed🍂

✅ Keep an eye on your pet during walks✅ Discourage them from picking up acorns and conkers✅ Contact your vet if you think they've eaten one
