Morning all,

A quick message to thank those clients who were incredibly understanding about having their appointments rescheduled at short notice on Friday afternoon.

Unfortunately, my truck broke down and needed recovering (hopefully on the mend now!)

We’re back on track today while the truck is still off-sick🤒

Thank you again for all being so kind.

Special thanks to Luke and Lorraine who let me borrow a lovely horsebox so my birthday horsey weekend wasn’t cancelled!

Payment terms update‼️
January was our busiest month since opening which is incredible as usually winter is quiet for small practices like ours!🤯

This has prompted an update to our payment terms (effective from next week - Monday 9th February 2026).

Payment will now be due on receipt of our invoice‼️

As we are so busy, it is becoming unmanageable to chase overdue invoices - especially those for very small amounts!

We are a small, independent business and it is very important that we get paid on time so we can keep running. The quality of the service we provide is excellent and we cannot work for free.

Please do not book routine appointments that you cannot afford to pay for.

Thank you as always to the vast majority of our lovely clients who pay promptly for our services.
Wishing you all a happy and healthy 2026!🎊

Thank you everyone for your understanding this week. It has been the worst week of my life and all of your kind messages and support have meant so much.
I lost my dear friend Mungo in horrible circumstances on Wednesday morning. It was sudden, totally unexpected and I sadly couldn’t be with him when he passed. The grief and shock has knocked me sideways, more than I ever thought was possible but Louise has been fantastic to step in and cover my work while I haven’t been much use to anyone.
Mungo was a huge part of my life; he moved to Hampshire with me 5 years ago and has been by my side ever since. He spent weeks in bed with me in 2021 following my pelvic fractures, he’s attended nearly all of my out of hours calls in the middle of the night or on weekends, been my support buddy following euthanasias and difficult visits and regularly joined us out hacking with the horses. He’s been on numerous holidays with us and loved the beach. His favourite place was definitely asleep on my lap where he spent a large proportion of his life!
He was the smallest dog (4kg) with the biggest personality and his loss has been earth shattering.
I’ll be back to work on Monday and will contact all those who had their visits postponed so we can reschedule as soon as possible.
Thank you again for all of the kindness. I feel as though I have such a wonderful community of support and I am so grateful. Thankfully I still have Reggie to keep my lap warm while I mourn the loss of my little friend.
All my love,
Grace x

My gorgeous boy Mungo has suddenly passed away this morning in awful circumstances.
I am absolutely devastated, he has been by my side through all of the highs and lows of the last 5 years and I can’t imagine my life without him.
Louise has very kindly stepped up today to cover routine appointments and emergencies.

I will reply to any messages as soon as I can.
Thanks for your understanding,

Grace x

🔴Equine Herpes Virus vaccinations:🔴

We’ve had several enquires regarding EHV vaccinations due to the recent report of a confirmed case in Surrey.

Equine Herpesvirus (EHV) is a contagious virus that can cause respiratory illness, abortion in pregnant mares, and neurological disorders such as Equine Herpesvirus Myeloencephalopathy (EHM).

🩺 Vaccination Schedule

• Primary Series: Two doses given 4–6 weeks apart
• Pregnant Mares: Boosters during the 5th, 7th, and 9th months of gestation
• Annual Boosters: Recommended for all horses
• Semi-Annual Boosters: Advised for high-risk horses (e.g., those in breeding or competitive environments).

💡 Why Vaccinate?
Vaccination helps reduce the severity of symptoms and limits viral shedding, which is crucial for preventing outbreaks. EHV can persist in horses and be reactivated during stress, making regular vaccination an important part of herd health management.

If you’re considering EHV vaccination for your horse, please contact us on 07534531069😊

⭐ Please note that there have been minor price increases on services and products. We aim to keep these to an absolute minimum but need to keep in line with ever-rising running costs!⭐️

Thank you as always for your ongoing support - Grace 😊
