Dogs, just like people, can have completely different personalities. Sometimes two dogs simply don’t see eye to eye.
They can play together, coexist perfectly well, and then something changes. Here we have Gary and Bailey who, let me say ' Tolerate one another the best of times ' a disagreement happens, tension develops, and suddenly they have a bit of beef with each other.
What you see here is why timing and judgement are so important when managing a group of dogs.
I don't immediately jump in at the first sign of tension. I give them an opportunity to communicate and resolve the disagreement themselves, whilst watching closely to make sure it doesn't escalate beyond what they can handle.
Then, when I decide enough is enough, I step in like Stavros Flatley with the verbal correction and remind them i'm m the leader.
And you'll see how quickly they both disengage and go their separate ways.
That doesn't mean I'm trying to make them friends again. The objective is neutrality and tolerance.
Sometimes dogs fall out. What matters is teaching them that they don't have to carry that disagreement forward.
Don't interrupt every interaction immediately, give them a chance. Don't allow things to escalate too far. Learn to recognise the difference.
Experience matters.

💔 OZZY (OSWALD) — LOOKING FOR HIS FOREVER HOME 💔

This is genuinely one of the hardest rehoming posts we've had to write.

Ozzy, formerly Charlie, is a 12-month-old entire male hybrid Bulldog (Old English × New English), lilac & white, and an incredibly special boy.

His owner is absolutely devastated to be facing this decision. Following the breakdown of her relationship, she has been forced to move to another city, and her new landlord doesn't allow pets. Her circumstances are dire, and despite desperately wanting to keep Ozzy, she has been left with no realistic choice.

She isn't giving him up because she doesn't want him. She's having to let him go because circumstances have left her with no choice.

She has trusted us to oversee his rehoming because of our experience with canine behaviour and responsible rehoming, knowing we will be extremely careful about where he goes.

Ozzy is loving, affectionate and an absolute character. He's lived with two Great Danes, is good with other dogs and already has some lovely foundations.

He's currently with us receiving desensitisation, obedience, impulse-control, crate and settling work. He's still young and learning, but his potential is enormous.

He comes from a sought-after Bulldog breeding and colour combination, with puppies from his litter originally valued around £2,500–£3,000 — but his monetary value means nothing to us.

Ozzy isn't a commodity. He's someone's much-loved boy who has suddenly lost his home.

🏡 HE WILL NOT GO TO JUST ANYBODY.

There will be thorough conversations, suitability and character checks and an in-home assessment.

We need someone with the time, stability, patience and love to give Ozzy the forever home his owner desperately wants for him.

He must remain entire until at least 2 years old, and his training must continue.

We're not looking for someone to take Ozzy. We're looking for someone to love him for the rest of his life.

Please share this far and wide.

Let's make sure that, through all the heartbreak, his owner can eventually know that Ozzy is safe, loved and finally home. 💔

The best thing about this rain being so torrential, is the fact there's only this daft sod ( ME ) out in it with these mad dogs that absolutely love it 😅.

Which means all can be off lead as there's absolutely NOBODY out 🤣.

Just look at the joy in em 👌🏻🐕🐾🌧️☔

Considering there is no excessive flight delay the socials will return on the 26th instead of the planned 27th. So if anyone has any overfilled, energetic dogs, please let us know and we'll try to accommodate as much as we can, on top of the usual Wednesday dogs.

AFTERNOONS SOCIALS CANCELLED DUE TO EXTREME HEAT 🥵 🔥

☀️ HEATSTROKE IN DOGS — KNOW THE SIGNS 🐶

Heatstroke can become life-threatening very quickly, especially in flat-faced, overweight, elderly or very young dogs.

Prevention: Avoid exercising during the hottest part of the day, always provide shade and fresh water, never leave a dog in a car, and remember that hot pavements can burn paws.

Warning signs: Excessive or frantic panting, heavy drooling, bright red gums/tongue, weakness, confusion, vomiting, stumbling or collapse.

🚨 If you suspect heatstroke: Move your dog somewhere cool immediately, begin cooling them with cool (not ice-cold) water, use airflow if available, and contact a vet urgently. Don't wrap them in wet towels, as this can trap heat.

Heatstroke is an emergency — spotting it early can save a dog's life. ❤️🐾

💙 LET’S GET BEHIND NOAH! — JUSTGIVING AWARDS 2026 FINALIST! 💙

I wanted to share something incredibly special on our business page and hopefully get as many of you as possible behind this amazing young lad.

Noah is one of my son’s football friends, and after what he achieved last year, he has now been selected as a FINALIST for the JustGiving Rising Star Award 2026! 🥹💙

And this is huge…

Out of more than 15,000 nominations, Noah has made the TOP 4! 🏆

Last November, Noah set himself the incredible challenge of running one mile every single day for the entire month to raise money for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

What started as a young lad simply wanting to do something good turned into something absolutely incredible.

💙 Noah raised over £51,000 for Bluebell Wood. 💙

But what makes his achievement even more special is the awareness he raised along the way.

He helped shine a huge spotlight on the incredible work Bluebell Wood does supporting children with life-limiting conditions and their families — and managed to bring an entire community together in the process.

Now we have the chance to get behind him again!

🗳️ VOTING IS NOW OPEN

Please take a minute to vote for NOAH here:

And there’s another really important date…
