Yesterday we said goodbye to one the most special horses I have known in my lifetime.
Indy, you were one in a billion. Your kind and level headed nature, earned you the title of Matriach. You lived a long and mostly carefree life. But these last 2 years have been tough on you. What with a nasty fall which resulted in on going chronic illness and life altering disabilities, and the death of your own son, who was your life long field mate 18 months ago. I am glad your passing was quick and peaceful. In your field, surrounded by your other friends from Natural causes. I couldn't think of a more dignified end for you sweet girl.
what a privilege it has been to care for you for the last 15 years. You will be so missed.

We have 2 retirement Full livery spaces available from the from October for full retirement livery non ridden.

Mare or gelding (no stallions), with 24/7 all year turnout.
Preferable Under 15.2
Perfect for one owner with two horses, or two seperate owners, but preferably to arrive at the same time, as they will be sharing their field together.

The nearly 4 acre field has a Large Concrete yard area and large field shelter with lights and access straight onto their field, plus lots of natural shelter. Automatic water tanks, and tap on yard too. For bathing or hosing off in the summer.

Stable space for storing your belongings. Secure alarmed tack room. The yard is covered by CCTV, Electric gated entry, owners live on site.
Fields are post and rail, with mains electric also.

Hay and standard feed provided, as needed, worming, rug changes, twice daily checks, holding for vet or farrier, medicines/supplements administered, hoof trims when required, fields poo picked daily.
Very experienced groom, great relationship with both our Farrier, and Vet ( who are under 3 miles from us).

Very quiet and tranquil yard, without lots of coming and going where your horse can live out it's retirement in peace.

Shoeing costs (fronts only allowed), vet bills, additional feed or supplements at owners expense.

£500PCM per horse.

Little update on the new field and shelter that was installed during the winter. Work is now finished, just waiting for the grass to grow back and some rubber matting to be installed in the shelter.

After one of the most challenging last 12 months, with one of the driest summers on record, followed by a hay shortage and then one of the wettest January and Februarys on record, This little herd of 3, with a combined age of 82 (L -R Indy 31, Izzy 24, and Ollie 27)
Have come out the other side gleaming. Such a lovely Bunch.

So grateful to still Have Indy with us after a 3 day Colic last October, acute Kidney Faliure and she has neurological condition which means we cannot sedate her or travel her anywhere for medical interventions, thanks to our wonderful vets twice daily visits, knowledge and care, she is still with us ❤️
