She arrived looking like a fluffy little teddy bear 🧸 and left looking like an absolute princess! 👑✂️

Her first groom is always such an important milestone, and Hallie did so well throughout. She was so sweet, and I’m super proud of her! 🥹💗

✨👑 Once upon a time… there was a Fairy Dog Mother 🐾💗

Apparently, if I wasn’t a dog groomer, I’d be living in a pink castle surrounded by fluffy dogs and magical sparkles… 😂✨

So I thought I’d let chat GBTturn me into the Disney Princess version of myself — complete with my grooming wand AND my little furry assistants.

I have to say… I think she’s pretty accurate! 😂💕

Good Morning, most of you may have received it by now, but there was an email sent last night detailed “contract to sign”
Which sounds very official, it’s the only way I could get all the information needed in one place sent out to all my customers.

It just details everything that I expect a small business and as customers what to expect from me 😊

🐾 Summer Pet Tip #1: Heatwave = Flea Boom!

Did you know? ☀️

The recent hot weather isn’t just great for BBQs… it’s also perfect for fleas!

🐜 Fleas breed much faster in warm temperatures.
🐜 Fleas thrive in temperatures around 21-30’c especially with humidity
🐜 One flea can lay up to 50 eggs a day.
🐜 By the time you see a few fleas, there could already be hundreds of eggs in your home.

✔️ Keep your dog’s flea treatment up to date.
✔️ Wash bedding regularly.
✔️ Vacuum often during warm weather.

If your dog is scratching more than usual, it might not just be the heat!

One thing many owners don’t realise is that around 95% of the flea life cycle is in the environment (eggs, larvae and pupae in carpets, bedding and furniture), not on the dog itself. So treating only the dog often isn’t enough if there’s an infestation.

☀️ With the warmer weather we’re having, I just wanted to reassure everyone that the salon is fully air conditioned, so your dogs will be kept nice and cool and comfortable during their appointment.
If possible, I would recommend driving to appointments rather than walking, especially during the hottest parts of the day, just to help keep your pup as comfortable as possible before arriving. 🚗🐾
Of course, if you feel you would rather rearrange your appointment due to the heat, I completely understand and I’m happy to do so. Please just keep in mind that any rescheduled appointments will be moved to my next available space, which is currently from 8th July onwards.

Many dogs aren’t fans of having their feet handled, but paw and nail care are an important part of maintaining their overall health and comfort.

During grooming appointments, we do much more than simply trim nails. We carefully check paw pads for excess hair, matting between the toes, skin irritation, small cuts, foreign objects, and signs of excessive licking or chewing that may indicate an underlying issue.

Nail length is especially important. When nails become overgrown, they can affect a dog’s posture and gait, causing them to shift their weight unnaturally. Over time, this can place additional stress on joints and contribute to discomfort, particularly in senior dogs.

Regular paw maintenance helps keep dogs comfortable, supports healthy movement, and allows potential concerns to be identified before they become larger problems.

Keeping up with routine grooming and nail care isn’t just about appearance—it’s an important part of supporting your dog’s long-term comfort and well-being.

🐾 Thursday's Grooms 🐾

I had a lovely group of pups in the salon on Thursday, including two adorable Doodles and two sweet Yorkies. 💕

Each one came in for their own pamper session, and as always, every groom was tailored to their individual coat type, lifestyle, and customer requests.

Regular grooming is about more than appearance. It's an opportunity to maintain coat health, check skin and paws, remove excess hair, and help keep dogs comfortable between appointments.

A big thank you to their wonderful owners for trusting me with their care.
We loved spending our Thursday with these gorgeous pups and look forward to seeing them again soon! 💗
