Now that the heatwave has passed, we're enjoying our regular group walks again 🐾☀️ Keeping cool in the shady woods with plenty of water and plenty of wagging tails 💚🐶

🐶☀️ With the hot weather this week, the safety and wellbeing of all the dogs in our care is our top priority. We really appreciate those who have been able to arrange last minute cancellations or house visits to help keep their dogs cool and comfortable.

For the rest of the week, walks will continue as normal, however we will be starting slightly earlier to help avoid the afternoon dogs being out during peak temperatures. We will also assess each walk individually and may shorten walks depending on the heat.

We’ll be sticking to shaded areas where possible and incorporating more enrichment games and mental stimulation to keep the dogs engaged without overexerting them in the heat 🐾🧠

Please also make sure your dog’s water bowls are topped up before collection. We always provide water during walks and when dropping dogs back home, but some dogs understandably prefer drinking their own water at home. We’ll continue checking bowls when returning them too.

A quick little hello from us and the dogs 👋🐶

We’ve been a bit quiet on here recently, but rest assured we’re back 🫡

We’re still out every day doing what we love — sunny walks ☀️ (finally!!) wiggly bums, and lots of treats involved 🦴

Winnie would just like to say on behalf of The Great OutPaws we are still here !!

She’s been eating pancakes , ripping her back dew claw and nibbling the blumin thing off and turning 5 all whilst Ems been holding the fort quite a blinking lot ! ( thanks Em !)
The Doggos have still had their walkies and it’s been wet wet wet!
We’d just got back in the swing of things posting and life threw us a 💩 load of 🍋s !

But we’re here !! We see you and we will endeavour to get back to posting pics of the pup pups !
Here’s just a few I managed to snap along the way this last couple of months ( had to throw in a before and after of a rather muddy springer !! Quite impressed with my cleaning skills if I do say so myself ! )

Even though I haven’t walked Hugo from a being young pup I’ve known him most of his life !
We first met on a zoom back in lock down days for a puppy 1-1 !
Then after a lot of persuading from his human ( and Greengates’s traffic lights being completed !!🙈) I finally started to walk Hugo some 4 years ago !

He’s been to my hoopers class where he excelled , and we’ve had a million kisses and the odd selfie !

Hugo gives the best snuggles 🥰

And I’m always finding him sneaking into in a middle position with a wiggly bum asking for fusses or treats!
He’s also a super star at positioning himself up on a rock looking too cute to say no to when he knows hot dogs are on offer ! 🌭🐾

Meet 𝑻𝒂𝒔𝒔 🐾
Tass came to join 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑮𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕 𝑶𝒖𝒕𝑷𝒂𝒘𝒔 back in the summer ☀️.

Tass is only young and very sociable, super excitable at times!

She loves other dogs 🐶 and her humans have been working hard on her skills — they’re doing an amazing job!

Tass is a beautiful girl and she bubbles over with 𝒑𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 💛.

Over the months she’s been learning that it’s not all play, and that calm walking 🚶‍♀️ and being around other dogs helps her earn playtime when the moment’s right 🎉.

It’s paying off — she’s now moving towards 𝒐𝒇𝒇-𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒅 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 🐕✨.
