🐾 PREGNANCY CONFIRMED! 🐾

A huge congratulations to this beautiful girl on her confirmed pregnancy! 🎉💖

Unfortunately, Bailey was such a wiggly girl that I couldn’t manage to save a scan image in time before she moved! 😂🐶

Did you know that British Bulldogs can be one of the trickiest breeds to scan? Their thick skin and body shape can make finding those tiny early puppies a real challenge, but today we got the confirmation we were hoping for! 🥰

Wishing Bailey a happy, healthy pregnancy and can’t wait to hear all about her precious puppies when they arrive. 🐾💕

🐾 Fun Fact! 🐾

Did you know that mother dogs can maintain a strong bond with their puppies long after they’ve grown up?

Bramble has been with her mum since the day she was born, and now at 17 months old, their bond is still absolutely unreal. ❤️ They do everything together, seek each other out for comfort, play together, and are rarely far apart. Watching them interact, you’d never guess that Bramble is all grown up!

It’s a beautiful reminder that while puppies may grow in size, the special connection between a mother and her pup can last a lifetime. 🥰🐶💕

🐾💕 FROM SCAN TO SQUISHY PUPPY CUDDLES 💕🐾

Today I had the pleasure of scanning another beautiful British Bulldog mum-to-be, and as a lovely surprise I also got to meet one of her sisters gorgeous puppies from the litter her sister had that I scanned just a few months ago! 🥹🐶

Moments like these remind me why I absolutely love what I do. Being able to follow a journey from those very first pregnancy scans right through to meeting healthy, happy puppies is incredibly special. ❤️

I’m so grateful for the trust my clients place in me, not only to be part of such an exciting time, but to invite me back time and time again. It truly means the world. 🥰

It’s the best job in the world when you get moments like these! 🐾✨

Poppy the cat was incredibly brave while having her microchip implanted! 🐱💖

A microchip is a simple and effective way to help keep pets safe and increases the chances of them being reunited with their families if they ever go missing.

Poppy was an absolute star and took everything in her stride, earning lots of cuddles and praise afterwards! 🌸✨

🌸🐾 UNDERSTANDING UTERINE HORNS IN DOGS & CATS 🐾🌸

Did you know that both dogs and cats have a bicornuate uterus? This means their uterus is made up of two long sections called uterine horns.

💕 WHAT ARE UTERINE HORNS?

The uterine horns are where puppies and kittens develop during pregnancy. Each horn extends from the body of the uterus towards the ovaries.

🐶 IN DOGS

The developing puppies implant and grow along the uterine horns. During pregnancy scans, gestational sacs can often be seen developing within these horns.

🐱 IN CATS

Kittens develop within the uterine horns in the same way. Multiple kittens can often be found distributed along both horns during pregnancy.

🩺 WHY ARE UTERINE HORNS IMPORTANT?

✔️ They house and support developing puppies and kittens
✔️ They help us identify pregnancy on ultrasound
✔️ They allow us to monitor pregnancy progression and foetal development
