As some of you will know, my gorgeous dog Mally was sadly diagnosed with cancer back in June. It's been a bit of a whirlwind, especially as I found out 3 days before leaving for Canada for 3 weeks!

She started radiotherapy the week I returned to work and with the crazy hot weather, it has been a bit stressful juggling everything. But I'm happy to say that Mally had her last treatment on 6th August and even received a certificate for completing it 🥹. Whilst her prognosis is uncertain, my husband and I visited Cornwall over the weekend with Mally (and my parents dog Jess) to celebrate and enjoy spending time together.

A massive thank you to all my clients for being so so understanding and flexible. It's not been an ideal situation, but we've made it work!
And thank you to everyone who has listened, checked in and truly cared about Mally, it has made this experience a little bit easier.

Hello everyone! 😊

Just a little update now that I am home from my trip to Canada. It's been lovely getting back into the routine and seeing all my four-legged friends again!

Whilst I wish that I had come home to slightly cooler temps, I have to say a massive thank you to my clients for being so flexible and understanding and allowing me to provide early morning or late evening walks to try to beat the heat ☀️

I'm still catching up on messages after being away, so if you've contacted me recently and haven't had a reply yet, I'm so sorry! I'm working through everything as quickly as I can. If you'd like to give me another nudge by sending your message again then please do, I definitely don't want to miss anyone.

I also have a few spaces available on my group walks at the moment. So if you're looking for a friendly, reliable dog walker, or know someone who is, I'd love to hear from you. Feel free to send me a message 😊

Hi everyone! I hope you're all managing to stay cool with the heat! 🥵

I had meant to post last week about going on holiday, but life had other plans. As some of my clients know, we received some very sad news about our dog just a few days before my husband Nathan and I flew to Canada for our long awaited belated honeymoon. It knocked me off my feet for a little while and the past week has been a bit of a blur.
Thankfully my wonderful parents are looking after our dog while we're away, which means Nathan and I can make the most of our trip together.

4 nights in Canada so far... 16 to go! 🇨🇦

Apologies to everyone I've not replied to yet. Between the whirlwind of travelling and everything that happened before we left, I've fallen a little behind. Thank you so much for your patience and I'll get back to everyone as soon as I can. But please bear with me as replies will be a little slower while I'm away.

Walks will resume from 13th July, and I can't wait to see all your lovely pups again! 🐾

🎉 5 YEARS OF ASHTON DOG SERVICES 🎉

I am admittedly not very good at celebrating my "wins" and bigging myself up... as evidenced by the fact that my little business turned 5 years old on 12th April 2026 and I haven't made a single post about it until now! 😅

But I realise that I shouldn't let this milestone pass without celebrating it properly and acknowledging how proud I am to have grown and nurtured this business for half a decade.

I have had the upmost privilege of walking, caring for and getting to know so many lovely dogs (and the BEST owners - many of whom are now good friends!). I've also made some amazing connections with other local business owners in the dog care world, and I'm so grateful for all the support, advice, pub meet-ups and Christmas meals we've shared over the years 🥰

The biggest thank you to everyone who has trusted me with your dogs, recommended my business, liked/shared posts or simply cheered me on. It truly means the world as I absolutely love my job 😊

What a glorious week we have had! 🌞🐾

Today marks the start of spring after what felt like a very, very long winter. One of my lovely clients said it perfectly - it's finally the time of year when people start to tell me I have the best job in the world... and of course they're right! 🤣

I even dared to have my first short-sleeve t-shirt walk of the year this week 😍.

It's been so lovely in fact, that I've been feeling so peaceful on my walks I've forgotten to take photos of all the gorgeous dogs! Thankfully I do have a few to share 😊

🔊 Volume Warning: Squeaky Toy! 🤣 🔊

I will always love my "wild walks" with my groups, exploring public footpaths and finding new sniffs for the dogs brings me so much joy! 🌳

However, renting a private dog field can be a fab alternative! They give dogs a chance to enjoy off-lead freedom to run and play, and for reactive or nervous dogs they provide a secure space without unexpected encounters.
For us walkers, it can also be a nice way to relax and enjoy the walk knowing the space is enclosed.

For this boy however, he just loves testing all of the toys available - with this squeaky burger being his favourite at the moment 🍔🤣.

February 2026 – the shortest month of the year and it certainly flew by! So much so that it’s already the 9th of March and I’m only just uploading this video now 🤦‍♀️🤣

It was another month with plenty of rain in the forecast 🌧, but we didn’t let that stop our adventures. Towards the end of the month, spring finally started to appear on the horizon and we were treated to some beautiful sunshine and some dry ground! ☀️

Today is ! 💕

Most of you will know that this sweetheart is my dog Mally, who is my whole world (yes I’m completely obsessed 🤣).

She didn’t always know what love felt like. Rescued from a puppy farm situation, she was so nervous when she first came home. Every sound startled her, new places were overwhelming, and trust didn’t come easily.

But oh how far she has come!

With time, patience, and oh-so-much love, she’s grown into the sweetest, gentlest soul. Watching her learn that the world can be safe (and even fun) has been such a privilege. Every tail wag melts my heart.

If you have a dog, you’ll know that every day is Love Your Pet Day. Give them an extra treat from me 🥰
And to anyone loving a once-nervous rescue, thank you for giving them the safety they deserve ❤️
