☀️ O N🌴H O L I D A Y🍹

For the first time in what feels like forever, I am taking a well earned break.

I've set my auto replies, the OOO is on for emails and any enquiries will be replied to when I come back to work.

Being self employed, I work every hour of every day. I really need this time to switch off and not think about work (as much as I love it and will probably miss it).

The diary is booked for all my regular clients and I'll see you all on my return, but for the next 9 days, I am OFFLINE.

💜 Meet the Owner of Jackson's Dog Grooming 🐾
With so many new faces here, I thought it was time to properly introduce myself! 👋

I'm Debby, dog obsessed, selfie lover🤳, D&B music lover, and the face behind Jackson's Dog Grooming.

Dogs have always been my happy place, so in 2020 I trained at Merrist Wood College and achieved my City & Guilds Level 2 qualification with a Distinction. (Best grade I've *ever* achieved)

For 16 months I worked in an office during the week while building my grooming business on weekends. In September 2022, I took the leap and made Jackson's Dog Grooming my full-time job and I've never looked back.

Since then I've completed my City & Guilds Level 3 qualification with Distinctions in every practical assessment, and I'm continuing to learn with one-to-one training days and gain ultrasonic teeth cleaning qualification.

What I love most isn't just the finished groom, it's getting to know every dog as an individual. Home visits mean many dogs are calmer in familiar surroundings, allowing me to groom them with patience, kindness and understanding.

For me, grooming is about helping dogs feel good as well as look good, building trust, and making every visit as stress-free as possible.

I'm so grateful to everyone who has trusted me with their four-legged family members.

Practical ways to keep dogs safe during hot weather

The safest approach is prevention.

These include:

🐾 Consider walking during the cooler parts of the day, such as early morning or later in the evening, when temperatures are often lower.

🚰 Providing constant access to fresh drinking water.

⛱️ Offering shade indoors and outdoors.

💨 Using fans to improve airflow.

🌞 Closing curtains during the hottest part of the day.

🐾 Avoiding strenuous exercise.

🌡Checking pavement temperatures before walking.

❄️ Offering frozen enrichment activities.
