We’ve had the pleasure of looking after this lovely big boy over summer.

Maine c***s are the largest non hybrid domestic cat breed in the world, and can grow to be up to 11kg!

With such size and athleticism, it’s important to give them the space they need to climb, run, explore and relax and at the Burrow we do this with great aplomb.

Our cabins are the largest in Northamptonshire, and many of the surrounding counties, and the only ones that meet all additional 5* optional criteria. Our cat trees are designed with all cats in mind, and are over 7ft tall, perfect for avid climbers like Sidney and his sister.

How about that for catisfaction? 😻

With exceptional temperatures predicted to continue for the next few days, it’s important not to forget our feline friends.

Blessed with fur coats, even just a few degrees increase in ambient temperature can be a struggle for them.

Knowing what to look out for, and how to keep them cooler in this weather can make the world of difference to our muggy moggies.

I think I’d like to be a cat…being served tuna and mackerel on fine bone china. After lunch maybe a spot of lounging around, in the sun, watching the wildlife in the garden, whilst people bring me treats and catnip, Can’t be bad huh?

The summer holidays are just around the corner and approaching fast.
