inspiring tails Offering both in-person and virtual dog training. My proven methods inspire the change you both deserve 💙 🐶

At inspiring tails, we believe that every dog is an individual. It's so easy to compare your dog to others and give them labels according to their breed, age, or s*x. While every breed will have certain traits, these do not define the dog. We like to look at what you WANT from your dog, rather than what you DON'T want - this helps shape your training and in turn, grow the behaviours that are impor

tant to both you and your dog. Most importantly, through games, fun, and a passion for creating an amazing relationship between dog and owner, we will help give you the confidence and knowledge to grow a bond that will last a lifetime!

Not gonna lie… this wasn’t even the photo I ended up using but izzies is an absolute masterpiece 🤭

She wanted in on the action and who am I to refuse that face?

The turnout on Tuesday was amazing! But we knew there might be people who were hesitant to attend because of how their dog might react, or how they might feel, because they were embarrassed or overwhelmed.

So we asked those who attended to let us know how they would to others who were considering it but weren’t sure and this is what they said ⬆️

We have 3 more of these events planned over the next 3 months (as well as lots of others!), so why not come along & join us!

My first Dogs in Yellow event 💛

My goal is simple: I want to help owners of reactive dogs build confidence—not only for themselves, but for their dogs as well. I want them to feel able to get out into the world and explore the places they deserve to see.

Training sessions are incredibly important, but they’re only part of the picture. Having the opportunity to take your dog somewhere, relax, and simply enjoy a walk without constantly scanning the environment, peering around corners, or planning every second of your route is invaluable. And for many owners of dogs in yellow, that level of vigilance is a daily reality.

I’m so overwhelmed by our Dogs in Yellow event this evening I can’t figure out what to post in order to do it justice.

So I’ll leave you with this… and let you know that it might have been the first, but it was DEFINITELY not the last celebratory dance of the evening 💃🏽 🕺 🪩

Proud doesn’t even cover it 🥹💛

Trick 4 - ‘Leg Weaves’ A really fun trick with lots of benefits! **

What leg weaves can help with:

🐾 Improved Focus and Body Language: Leg weaves require your dog to pay close attention to your body movements and cues, strengthening their focus on you.
🐾 Enhanced Coordination and Body Awareness: The weaving motion helps dogs develop spatial awareness and coordination, particularly of their rear end.
🐾 Mental Stimulation: Learning new tricks like leg weaves challenges your dog’s mind and keeps them mentally engaged.
🐾 Physical Exercise: Weaving provides a good stretch and workout, especially for the dog’s sides.
🐾 Fun and Bonding: Leg weaves can be a playful activity that strengthens the bond between you and your dog through positive interaction.
🐾 Foundation for Dog Sports: Leg weaves are a fundamental skill in canine freestyle and other dog sports, making it a great starting point for more advanced training.
🐾 Confidence Building: Successfully learning new tricks like leg weaves can boost your dog’s confidence.

**Please discuss with your veterinary practitioner/canine physio therapist if you are in any doubt about doing this one with your dog! Any new tricks/games should be done safely and should only be done if they are suitable for your dog**
