A surprising discovery for Chase!

Chase visited our Brackley practice this week after developing a sudden onset of coughing, gagging and a nosebleed.

To allow Chloe to thoroughly examine the back of his throat, Chase was carefully sedated. During the examination, Chloe discovered two incredible 20cm-long strands of grass behind his soft palate!

Thankfully, Chloe was able to successfully remove them.

We wish this brave boy a speedy recovery! 🐾

A wet, but wonderful, weekend at the Evenley Dog Show.

Chloe had a fantastic time judging the Evenley Dog Show this weekend, despite the rather soggy weather!

A very well-deserved well done to everyone who braved the elements and took part in this fantastic event. And, of course, huge congratulations to this year’s winners! 🏆

Chloe loved meeting all the four legged contestants and seeing some familiar faces in the ring. We were incredibly proud to be one of the main sponsors of this year’s show. It is always such a wonderful community event, and we’re delighted to support it.

Well done to everyone involved in making it such a success! 🐾

A huge congratulations to Lennie and Lily! 🏆

Lennie, Lorna’s very talented pooch, took part in the Pickering Country Fair Junior Dummy 2 Pick Up this weekend alongside Lorna’s daughter, Lily.

It was their first ever gun dog class and what a fantastic start they had. Lennie and Lily came first, winning the Junior 2 Dummy Pick Up!

We are so proud of them both and absolutely delighted for Lorna, who got to watch her daughter and beloved dog do so well together.

What a wonderful achievement. Well done Lennie and Lily, and keep up the good work!

Meet Pepper, Pretzel and Patchy, three little guinea pigs who have recently joined the Taylor Vets family.

We loved meeting this lovely trio and their owners, and we think you’ll agree with us when we say it's clear they’re already very much adored. 💕

Fun fact: guinea pigs are surprisingly chatty. They use a whole range of sounds to communicate, from purring and chattering to the unmistakable excited “wheek” they make when they’re expecting food!

Puppy Pre-school has landed at Taylor Vets Middleton Cheney! 🐾

Following a fabulous first session, we’re delighted to announce that our next Middleton Puppy Pre-school will be held on 22nd September.

Open to Taylor Vets clients at no cost, our Puppy Pre-school sessions are suitable for puppies up to 15 weeks old. Each session is designed to help give your puppy the best possible start, while helping you feel more confident with their care and development.

What will you and your puppy gain from Puppy Pre-school?

• Tour and familiarise your puppy with a consult room
• Learn how to safely check their ears, eyes, teeth and paws
• Understand more about health, wellbeing and body language
• Build confidence and start training the right way with Kate from inspiring tails
• Give your puppy the opportunity to socialise safely with other puppies and their owners

A very important first visit for Piper and her puppies at Brackley!

The gorgeous litter visited Ruby and Mia last week for their first vaccinations and microchips. They were all very brave and, after an exciting morning experiencing a new environment, were soon settled and snoozing!

Vaccinations play an important role in protecting puppies from several serious diseases.

A puppy's primary vaccination course usually consists of two injections, given 2–4 weeks apart, starting between 6–8 weeks of age. The second injection is given at 10–12 weeks, with full protection typically achieved 7 days after the second dose.
