Puppy Preschool is back at Middleton Cheney!

Our next session is on 3rd November – will you and your pup be joining us?

Designed and offered in collaboration with Kate from inspiring tails, our Puppy Preschool is perfect for puppies aged 9–15 weeks. It’s a fun, supportive way to help your little one build confidence, socialise with other puppies and get started on their training journey.

During the session, you can look forward to:

🐾 Puppy socialisation
🐾 Tooth-brushing demonstration
🐾 Mini health check
🐾 Fun games and enrichment
🐾 Helpful training advice

Even better, Puppy Preschool is complimentary for Taylor Vets clients!

A special shout-out to little Charlie the Cavalier, who joined our last preschool feeling a little unsure but soon began to grow in confidence. It’s wonderful to see our puppies blossom as they learn and explore in a safe, supportive environment.

We’re ending the week with a special celebration! ⭐

Milo, has been on an incredible weight-loss journey over the last 7 months. Milo and his owner have been working closely with Ingrid at our weight clinic.

We’re so pleased to share that all their hard work and teamwork have paid off.
Milo has lost an amazing 5.2kg!

To mark the occasion, we made sure Milo was celebrated in style with his very own rosette and some lovely weight-friendly treats. Well done, Milo! You’re a total inspiration and we couldn't be prouder.

Helping our pets stay fit and healthy is always a partnership. If you ever feel your pet could use a bit of extra support, tailored guidance, or just a helping hand along the way, our team is always here to work alongside you both.

Pop in or get in touch with us at Brackley or Middleton if you’d like to chat about how our support clinics work! 👇🏻

⭐ Happy Veterinary Receptionist Appreciation Day! ⭐

When you walk through the doors of Taylor Vets, our Client Care Team are often the first people you meet.

But their role is about so much more than answering the phone or welcoming clients through the door.

That’s why we call them our Client Care Team.

They are the calm voice when someone is worried about their pet, the friendly face at the front desk, the coordinators of prescriptions, referrals and new registrations, and the team that keeps everything moving day to day.

They support you through new beginnings and difficult goodbyes, and are there at every step of the client journey.

Today, we want to say a very big thank you to our wonderful Client Care Team. 🤍

What did you do this weekend?

Well, we had an absolutely fabulous time at the Pooch & Mooch event, kindly hosted by National Trust - Stowe in collaboration with Tails on the Trails and inspiring tails

It was a wonderfully inclusive event, welcoming dogs of all shapes, sizes and personalities — big, small, confident or shy.

Yes, it was a little windy and a bit drizzly… but you certainly wouldn’t have guessed it from the atmosphere! There were plenty of happy faces (and wagging tails!) as everyone explored Stowe’s beautiful surroundings and got stuck into the exciting activities in the vendor area. We hope you also had a chance to 𝙋𝙖𝙬𝙨 and come and say hello after all that exploring!

There were definitely some competitive spirits on show, too! From our cone building competition to the chance to win 12 months of Members Plan membership, you certainly brought your A-game! 🏆

Our winners will be notified this week, but a huge well done to everyone who took part. Some of you even managed to beat our own team with some seriously speedy times!

We would love to see your photos of the event, so feel free to share them in the comments below 👇🏼

Not every patient who comes through our doors has a collar, a name tag, or even an owner. Here are a couple who have made it to Brackley and Middleton Cheney this week.

We will provide emergency first aid to wildlife where possible. However, the best place for injured wildlife is often somewhere that can provide specialist care and rehabilitation.

If an animal appears sick or injured, always contact the RSPCA on 0300 1234 999 for guidance.

You can also contact a local wildlife rescue for advice:

• Tiggywinkles – 01844 292292
• Brackley Hogwatch – 07528 119416
• RSPCA – 0300 1234 999
• Bat Conservation Trust – 0345 130 0228
• Oxfordshire Wildlife Rescue – 07549 322464
• Animals in Need Northamptonshire – 01933 278080

We’re also incredibly grateful to our local wildlife transport volunteers, who help transport patients from our practice to specialist wildlife rehabilitation centres when needed.

We’re always looking to build our network of volunteers. It’s a voluntary role, and we can’t promise how often you’ll be called, but every journey could help give an injured animal the specialist care it needs.

If you’d like to support us as a wildlife transport volunteer, please get in touch with the Taylor Vets team on the email below. We’ll keep your contact details on file and only contact you when we need help transporting wildlife.

⚠️ Remember: frightened wildlife may bite or scratch. Always seek advice before handling larger animals.

What happens after dark at Taylor Vets Brackley?

Well, alongside providing our out-of-hours care, our wonderful nurses are busy making sure every inch of the practice is clean, tidy and ready for the day ahead.

Last weekend, Rufus spent some time helping Ellie keep everything in tip-top shape. He was on hand to give everything his very important seal of approval! ✅

We think he took his quality-control duties very seriously… although his beaming smile suggests he rather enjoyed his shift!

A huge thank you to our brilliant nursing team (and Rufus) for all the work they do, day and night.
