Thank you all for so many messages checking in and asking if she's here, its been a whirlwind 5 days but I am so madly in love.

Just to clarify, I AM CLOSED!

Today unfortunately I've had someone I've never met before turn up on my doorstep demanding a dog groom on the spot. Despite me explaining I was heavily pregnant and on maternity leave he still pushed. It was incredibly intimidating.

I have plenty of lovely grooming friends to recommend in the time I'm off. More than happy to text people recommendations if I haven't already but otherwise please don't turn up banging my door down when I'm trying to rest in the last couple of weeks before baby arrives.

Hi all 🫶

Unfortunately I have had to make the tough decision to go on maternity leave even sooner than planned.

Without going into detail I've not been well for a few weeks now & have struggled massively while grooming. Baby is also now under fetal medicine/consultant doctor care meaning my head is not in the right place to be working.

I'm so sorry to those clients I've had to let down last minute, it was never my intention to have to cancel appointments or pass you off to other lovely groomers.

I will be off work now until sometime in 2024 - please don't message me yet asking when I'm coming back as it all depends on how birth goes/how baby is.

Please look after yourselves & those wonderful doggos of yours, I will really miss seeing you all on a regular basis 🥺

4 years ago today I qualified as a dog groomer! Huge thank you to for teaching me everything I know, Sam is a legend!!
I can't thank you for all of my clients support in those 4 years! Especially through multiple lock downs, personal issues & now with a baby on the way!

My grooming lodge this morning was 25c at 9.30am - even with air con on this doesn't cool it down to a safe temperature unfortunately 🌡

The location of my lodge is at the end of my garden in a proper suntrap. Previous summers I have had to cancel grooms in this heat as it is unsafe to groom your dogs. All dogs need drying which of course heats the room up further 🌡

Currently I am also 28 weeks pregnant and struggling massively even to groom the handful of tiny dogs I have booked in. Please be patient with me if I need to rearrange your grooms - I am due to finish on 8th July for early maternity leave anyway but there is a high chance your groom may need to be moved or cancelled if these high temperatures continue 🌡

To everyone booked in (there's very few of you anyway as all dogs that take over 2+ hours have been cancelled) please await a text with possible further rearrangement or cancellation 🌡

Very sorry for any inconvenience caused, I am doing my best given the circumstances but as most of you know this pregnancy has been really hard on my physical health for various reasons and the high heat only adds to that 🌡
