A slightly different post than usual, but I wanted to share some photos of the lovely cats we met on our holiday 🐈🩵🇨🇾
My husband and I stayed at the Atlantica Bay Hotel in Limassol, Cyprus. We were so impressed with the care they provide for the cats that live in the hotel grounds. The hotel feeds and looks after the cats, funds any vet care they need and arranges neutering and spaying when funds allow. Guests can also feed the cats as long as they’re offering appropriate food and there’s a dedicated area where people can donate food or money towards their care. Of course we left a few donations of our own before heading home! 🥹🐾
If you’re ever thinking of visiting Cyprus and you’re a fellow cat lover I’d definitely recommend looking into this hotel 🩵 It was so lovely to see a place making an effort to care for the animals who call it home. 🩵
We were also really impressed with what we saw around the area of Cyprus we stayed in. They had lots feeding stations, water and places to sleep set up for the local cats.
We have visited other countries with large stray animal populations before but one thing I always worry about is what happens when the tourists go home but here It was genuinely heartwarming to see that the locals do care about the cats all year round and knowing that places like the Atlantica Bay Hotel and the local community continue to feed and look out for these lovely cats is so reassuring. 🐱🩵
If you’re ever planning a trip to Cyprus and love cats definitely have a look at this hotel, It’s lovely to see animal welfare being taken seriously and I hope more places continue to do the same 🩵🐈⬛
