Hey Doggie

Hey Doggie Dorset based business using Animal Assisted Support to benefit emotional & physical well-being. Hi there! I look forward to meeting lots of lovely local Doggies.

I am a Trainer, Core Mentor & Assessor at PAWS Therapy & Assistance Dog Training Thanks for visiting my page,
After many years of caring for & owning dogs I am now in a great position to be able to start my own business working with these fabulous creatures. For several years I fostered over 30 fabulous dogs for a local dog rescue and I currently have a Labrador who is a registered therapy dog and

a very elderly spaniel, I also own a gorgeous gypsy cob who I ride out in the forest so I am truly an outdoors sort of person! Earlier this year I was very lucky to be accepted to study with The Dog Training College to train to be a qualified dog training instructor, the course covers many topics such as Dog law, first aid ,scentwork, loose lead walking & reactivity in fact 146 separate subjects but all incredibly important for anyone working with canines! My objectives are to make sure what ever dog is in my care either dog walking or training they will feel safe and happy and ultimately enjoy their time spent with me.

This week’s booked sessions have been a bit of a write off due to the heat and I have had to cancel all of them as welfare of the dogs always comes first,

Apologies to all my very understanding clients and we will see you very soon! 🐾
Both Bramble and Nelly have mostly dozed the week away ( lucky them 🤣) 🐾💤
But it has meant I have managed to achieve a lot!
The exciting news is I have signed up to a course for EAL 🐴( Equine Assisted Learning ) meaning that in the near future I will be able to increase my services to new and existing clients
Very exciting times ahead!

Dementia Action Week 2026 💙

Therapy dogs can make such a meaningful difference in dementia settings, often in ways that words simply can’t describe.
A wagging tail, a gentle cuddle, or the simple act of sitting quietly beside someone can bring comfort, calm, and connection. Dogs can help reduce anxiety, encourage communication, spark memories, and provide a sense of purpose and companionship.
Sometimes the smallest moments are the biggest victories — a smile, eye contact, laughter, a conversation, or someone feeling encouraged to join in and engage with others. Those moments matter more than people realise.
At Hey Doggie, we see first-hand how animal assisted support can brighten someone’s day and create meaningful emotional connections. Nelly and Bramble remind us that kindness, patience, and unconditional love can have a powerful impact on wellbeing. 🐾
This Dementia Action Week, let’s celebrate the incredible difference that understanding, compassion, and therapy animals can make. 💙

I am exploring the possibility of increasing my services to EAL ( Equine Assisted Learning )
This is going to take some time to set up to become compliant and will require me to take further training,
But moments like these might well be possible and can be so special for humans and equines
