These two handsome cats are actually brothers from the same litter!

Kittens in the same litter can look very different due to a reproductive phenomenon called superfecundation, where a single litter can have multiple fathers 😳

Because a female cat often mates with several males during her heat cycle, each kitten can be sired by a different tomcat, resulting in a varied group of half-siblings.... Or it could just be diverse genetics 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

Either way, it's been lovely looking after them this week 💜🐾

I'm devastated. How I'm going to miss your beautiful soulful eyes, the little hand nudges, your funny little waddle as you race off to jump in the water and your whole body cuddles ❤️

You were my grandad of my pack, and my days are going to feel a little less full without you being there.

Finally... Sunshine!!

I know I'm not the only one that has been finding the constant rain depressing. It's been a rough couple of months, especially as a dog walker, but maybe... hopefully... We're through the worst of it 🤞🏼🙏🏼

After all this rain, today was a very welcome relief ☀️

Of course the spaniels were covered in mud and Stan found a random sandal which he terrorised 😂 but I'll take that over a wet day any day 💜🐾

And I'm going to listen!

🔥 When the spicy 27 year old mare starts dragon breathing at the sight of the saddle and takes off, you know today isn't the day for a ride 🐉

This was the second attempt as well, so instead we had lots of scratches and butt rubs 💜 It's important to listen to your horse; I don't have to ride, she doesn't have to be ridden. What's important is her trust in me, and I'm not going to break that for the sake of a hack out.

We're both too old to be doing things we don't wanna do 😂

🌟 Massive shout out to my mum... my unpaid volunteer and weekly dog walking sidekick! 🐾

She gives up her time every week to keep me company, play with the dogs, and even help wash them down (though she definitely draws the line at picking up the poops 💩😂).

For someone who insists she’s not a dog lover, she’s got a real soft spot for these pups, and I’m honestly not sure who they adore more… (probably me, I’ve got the treats 😋).

Thank you, Mum, for your love, support, and endless generosity. I’m so lucky to have you and I truly treasure our dog walking time together. 💜🐶

I’ve had the pleasure of looking after these two cuties over the past couple of weeks! 💜

Dog sitting is such a great way to build a closer bond, and I’ve loved every minute — especially all the cuddles! 🐾

Gus is the ultimate snuggler — he loves to burrow under the blanket, sit a bit awkwardly with those long legs, and watch you eat dinner like it’s the most fascinating thing in the world 🤤

Nelly’s the playful one — she’s all about “blanket gremlins” (aka sneak attacks on your hand under the blanket) before curling up for a deep nap in your lap. She’s not too keen on being left behind at bedtime though, and will try her best to sneak upstairs 😴

Can’t wait to see them again today for our regular walk! 💜🐾
