Tokay Gecko’s - Gekko gecko 🦎 we have a large male and female pair

Tokay geckos are large, colourful geckos native to Southeast Asia and parts of southern China, where they live mainly in tropical forests, rocky areas, and around buildings. They are nocturnal, meaning they are most active at night. Tokays are primarily insectivores, feeding on crickets, cockroaches, moths, beetles, and other insects, but they may also eat small vertebrates such as young rodents and other lizards. They are known for their distinctive blue-grey colouring, orange/red spots, strong bite, and loud “to-kay” call.

Ecuadorean Six Eyed Sand Spider - Sicarius gracilis 🕷️

We have one sub adult female available instore - their venom is potent so will be only selling to experienced customers we know!

🕷️ Some interesting facts

* Only six eyes: Unlike most spiders, which have eight, Sicarius has three pairs of eyes, arranged in three groups of two.
* Masters of camouflage: They bury themselves in loose soil or sand, and tiny particles can adhere to specialised hairs on their bodies. This can make the spider almost indistinguishable from its surroundings.
* They ambush prey: Rather than constructing a typical capture web, they hide beneath the substrate and wait for suitable prey to pass nearby, then emerge rapidly.
* They are surprisingly long-lived. Some Sicarius species are estimated to live up to around 15 years, which is exceptionally long for an araneomorph spider.
* Their venom deserves respect. Sicarius venom contains phospholipase D, a toxin associated with tissue damage and the necrotic effects seen in some sicariid spiders. However, documented human envenomation by Sicarius is rare, and the medical effects of many individual species remain poorly understood.
