Good afternoon everyone ☺️
I’d like to introduce you all to Axel, my male Siberian Husky, who I am considering making available to stud to the right female and home.
Axel is a rescue from Germany and genuinely has the most amazing temperament. He is incredibly friendly with people, playful and sociable with other dogs, and absolutely adores children. He also works alongside me in an office environment — which I know sounds slightly crazy for a Husky! — but he is honestly brilliant. He settles incredibly well, is calm and well-behaved, and anyone who has met him can vouch for what a lovely-natured dog he is.
He very rarely howls unless he is particularly excited, and although Axel only has three legs, this doesn’t hold him back in the slightest. He has been cleared by our vet, has no known health issues and is seen by vets regularly, particularly because we frequently travel between Germany and the UK via France.
Ideally, we would be interested in a Labrador or Golden Retriever female, as we feel the temperament and characteristics could be a lovely match, although we would be happy to consider other suitable options.
I also wanted to explain the reason behind us considering breeding Axel, as this isn’t a decision we’ve made lightly.
My parents have another Husky called Loki, who has sadly recently lost two of his close canine companions. Since then, we’ve noticed a change in him and feel he would really benefit from having another dog in the family to bond with and share his life with.
Axel and Loki get on brilliantly, but unfortunately, because of my work commitments, Axel lives with me in Germany for the majority of the time. We return to Lincolnshire whenever I’m on leave, but understandably Axel can’t be a permanent companion for Loki.
We are also regularly looking through rescue and rehoming sites. If a dog became available that we felt was genuinely the right match for Loki and suited our family and lifestyle, we would absolutely consider rehoming instead. Ultimately, our priority is finding the right companion for Loki and giving another dog a loving, permanent home — whether that ends up being a rescue or a puppy from Axel.
If we did find the right female for Axel, the only thing we would ask from the arrangement would be a puppy from the litter, with any financial arrangement towards the puppy discussed and agreed fairly with the owner beforehand.
We are a very loving, dog-orientated family. My parents live in the countryside with a very large garden and plenty of space. Our dogs are very much part of the family (and admittedly very spoilt! 😂). They come along on days out, countryside and trail walks, beach trips and family adventures, so any new addition would have a very active and loving home.
The welfare of Axel, the female and any potential puppies would always come first, so we would only consider proceeding if we felt everything was right for everyone involved.
