Hi everyone 👋

Meet Tilly 🐱 She unfortunately sustained an injury in the first few hours of her life ❤️‍🩹😿 her foot had been taken away just leaving a stump, as you can see from the photos 🙁 Her dedicated human mum had an ongoing job keeping the stump and her environment as clean as possible, so she didn't get an infection 🐈‍⬛🐈

Fast forward a couple months and Tilly was thriving despite her challenges 🥰🥲 yet the stump kept being traumatised, as she tried to use her leg... unfortunately it was just getting in the way 😔

We made the hard decision to amputate her leg so to give her the best chance to thrive and not be held back by the injury 💉🩺 Tilly was amazing throughout the procedure and in her recovery 🤩 👏 This is her navigating her 3 legs like a pro only 10 days after her procedure! 🥰 Cats cope extremely well with 3 legs, and she's an example of this... well done beautiful girl you are such a trooper! 😻

🐾 Betty’s Story – Don’t Ignore Frequent Trips to the Litter Tray! 🐾

Meet beautiful Betty. 💚

When Betty’s owner noticed she was repeatedly going in and out of her litter tray without her usual success, they knew something wasn’t quite right and gave us a call.

Following a thorough examination, Betty was diagnosed with cystitis (inflammation of the bladder). Thankfully, her owner acted quickly, allowing us to start treatment and help get Betty feeling much more comfortable.

🐱 Signs of cystitis to look out for include:
• 🚽 Frequent trips to the litter tray
• ⚠️ Passing only small amounts of urine
• 😿 Straining or crying when trying to urinate
• 🩸 Blood in the urine
• 🧼 Urinating outside the litter tray
• 🫣 Excessive licking around the ge***al area
• 😔 Changes in behaviour, hiding or seeming uncomfortable

🚨 A very important reminder: If your cat is unable to pass urine at all, especially if they are a male cat, this is a medical emergency. A urinary blockage can become life-threatening very quickly and requires immediate veterinary attention.

At Broughton Ryan Mobile Vets, we know how stressful it can be when your pet isn’t themselves. We’re here to provide compassionate care in the comfort of your own home whenever possible.

🐶 Here is a photo of the gorgeous Jake who we've been seeing now for about 2.5 years! 🐕 Jake is a worried boy, as you can see in his eyes, but has softened to us with our regular visits 🥰 We've been helping him with his arthritis during this time, offering regular laser treatments in his own home 🏡 making things as stress free as possible for him... he's a very special boy 💕🦮

In our fully equipped vet vans just outside your home we have the pleasure of treating pets of all shapes and sizes! 💕

Bear 🐻 is a 68kg gentle giant Caucasian Shepherd who barely fit under our consulting table, here you can try to appreciate his size, he was just stunning! 👏😍

In contrast we have the cutest kitten Marceline, the Maine C**n cross at just 1kg! 🐈🥰

🏡🚑 We love coming to see all your gorgeous pets, and it makes it all the better for everyone when they are so relaxed 😌💕 This is one of our main goals, to provide a stress free, comfortable and relaxed experience, as much a possible with seeing the vet! 🐶🐱🐰

No stressful travelling to the vets, no rushing around for appointments, no waiting in loud waiting rooms and more time for your pets to get to know and trust us 🥰🤗

Here we have a lovely selection of how stress free our pets can be, when we come to you 🏡🚑

Meet Yorky the dachshund who recently had his castration in one of our vet vans! He was so comfy and calm and such a brave boy throughout 👏🥰

Next we have Kitler the beautiful kitten who had her full vaccination course with us, and will in the near future be spayed. Look at her falling asleep in her mums arms in the van 😍 🚑

And finally here is Willow, she's only a baby but did so well with her vaccine and she also signed up to our Pet Health Plan. It was tiring work with all the chatting so she almost fell asleep on our consulting table 😴🐶💕

⭐️🐶🐩 Guess the breed!! 🐕‍🦺🐕⭐️

We thought this would be a good game for a Friday night... guess the breed combination of this gorgeous girl Mable 🥰😍

She's only 7 weeks old, so was a little worried about getting her first vaccine and microchip with us ❤️‍🩹💉🩺 She did so well though and was happily eating treats afterwards with lots of love and cuddles from us 🤗💕

The winner/s 🏆 will be announced on Sunday... good luck. She's a first for us in terms of breed combination!🥇🐶

⛈️ We hope everyone has kept safe with their pets in these thunder storms! We know how frightening they can be to our pets 🤗🐕🐩🐇

We couldn't resist getting you all to meet the beautiful Maggie and Mac 🤩😍... who we've seen recently in the van for their health checks and first vaccines 💉🩺 How cute are these two? Puppies and kittens always make us smile 🥰

⭐️ We are so grateful for the continued support from everyone and all your word of mouth recommendations ☺️ It means the world to us, as there's so many people who still don't know we're about, let alone that a mobile vet even exists! 🚑🏡 So many more people and pets can benefit from the ease, convenience and stress free service that we strive to provide 😺 Thank you all ❤️

We hope everyone is having a lovely bank holiday weekend so far! 🌞🐶🐱🐰

⭐️ Please be careful in these hot temperatures with your gorgeous pets! 🔥🥵

Heat stroke is real and deadly and is easily prevented by keeping pets indoors 🏠 on days like today. Skipping your usual day time walk is a lot safer then putting them at risk ❤️‍🩹

If you suspect your dog is too warm using cold running water or emersing them in cold water (not tepid water) is the best way to cool them down. Please make sure when first using a hose to run it through until cool! Using fans, keeping them out of direct sunlight and use of cooling mats also will help. Aside from this genuine heat stroke is an emergency and they need to be seen by a vet immediately 🩺💉💔

Happy Friday everyone! 🐶🥳

We have another appreciation post for our well loved poodle crosses 🤩 We see so many of these guys as they are very popular! 🐩🐩🐩

First up is the beautiful Sidney, who had his castration in our fully equipped vet van just outside his home 🏡 🚑 Sidney benefited from our low stress approach where once happy and recovered from his anaesthesia he was back into his home where he belonged 🥰

Next up is the cutie Milo, the golden/white cavapoo puppy and Nutmeg the lovely tri colour cockapoo who both needed their second vaccines and health checks 💉🩺 They were both so brave being perfect first time patients 💕

And finally the handsome Burrow, here he is with his football at home looking poised for action 😆😍 He also had his castration in the vet van outside his home. He's one of our regular patients having been seeing him since a tiny pup 🐶 Well done Burrow 👏

Hi everyone! 👋

In our vet vans we get to see a lovely contrast of young and old patients 🥰🐶 We are able to do simple jobs like vaccines and health checks but also can tend to poorly pet visits, perform diagnostics and basic surgeries ❤️‍🩹🩺💉 All in our fully equipped vet vans just outside your home! 🏡🚑

First up we have the lovely We**ie who is a grand old age of 14 years! 🥳 We**ie the frenchie gets regular health checks and acupuncture for his arthritis by our lovely Vet Ruth 🥰 He's such a trooper!

Next up for contrast is Apollo the beautiful silver lab and Poppy the cutest JRT 😍 They both needed vaccines and health checks - how gorgeous are they both 🐶

And finally the 15 year old pug Maisey 🤗 She recently had her eyes checked as she had an ulcer on one of them ❤️‍🩹 Thankfully she's all healed up now 👏
