🐾 A PERSONAL UPDATE FROM COMMANDO CANINES 🐾
This isn’t an easy post for me to write, but after a lot of thought I’ve made the difficult decision to finish my dog walking services at the end of October.
When I started Commando Canines, the walking side of the business was a huge part of what I wanted to build. Over that time, I’ve had the privilege of looking after some absolutely brilliant dogs, and they’ve become far more than just dogs I take out for a walk every day.
I’ve watched them grow in confidence, build friendships within the packs, cause absolute chaos at times 😂 and generally make every day that little bit different. I’ve genuinely become attached to them, so saying goodbye to the regular walks is going to be difficult.
Unfortunately, the reality is that the continued increase in fuel, vehicle costs and general business overheads means the walking side of Commando Canines is becoming increasingly difficult to sustain.
Rather than continually increasing prices for my customers, I’ve decided the right decision for me and the business is to finish the walking service.
I want to say a genuine thank you to every owner who has trusted me with their dog. I’ve never taken that responsibility lightly, and the loyalty, recommendations, messages and support I’ve received since starting Commando Canines have meant a great deal to me.
And thankfully, this isn’t goodbye to Commando Canines. ❤️🐾
✂️🐶 Dog grooming will continue as normal, and I’ll be putting even more of my time and energy into developing that side of the business.
For many of my walking dogs, hopefully it won’t be goodbye at all — I’ll just be seeing you on the grooming table instead of out on the hills! 😂
All walks will continue as normal until the end of October, giving everyone plenty of notice to make alternative arrangements.
I’m genuinely going to miss having the packs out every day, but I’m also excited about the next chapter for Commando Canines.
To everyone who has supported me and trusted me with a member of their family — thank you. It’s been an absolute privilege. 🐾❤️
The walking boots might be getting hung up, but Commando Canines isn’t going anywhere.
