This week is Good Employment Week across Greater Manchester โ an opportunity for businesses to think about the kind of workplaces we create for the people who work within them.
At Rainbow Bridge, our team does a job that can be incredibly rewarding, but also emotionally demanding.
Every day we speak to families experiencing the loss of a much-loved pet. We collect pets from homes and veterinary practices, care for them at our crematorium, prepare ashes and keepsakes, return pets home to their families and sometimes simply listen when somebody needs to talk.
We ask a lot of our team, and that means we have a responsibility to look after them too.
For us, being a good employer isnโt just about wages, contracts or working hours. Itโs about creating a workplace where people feel valued, trusted and supported, where everyone is treated with respect and where people know the work they do matters.
Weโre still a relatively young business and weโre always learning. As Rainbow Bridge continues to grow, the kind of employer we want to be is every bit as important to us as the kind of service we want to provide.
Because looking after the people who look after our families matters too. ๐
Weโre here to help - whenever you need us.
