Ryders Farm is a family run business, established 25 years ago by Sarah Fitton, a BHS Stage 5 performance coach in Complete Horsemanship. We are a BHS approved Riding School and Livery Yard, an Official Pony Club Centre and approved by the Local Authority. We specialise in riding lessons for all ages and abilities, encouraging people to enjoy the sport of riding and love horses as we do. We are al

ways happy to see new faces (and old friends) and you are welcome to visit our yard, but please, no dogs. We know sometimes the urge to see, touch, talk to and yes, even smell a pony, is overwhelming so even if you’re not riding feel free to visit us, feed the ducks, chat to others on the yard, have a coffee and enjoy yourself. Our instructors, yard staff, reception and admin are all dedicated to ensure that your experience at Ryders Farm Equestrian Centre – whether owner, visitor, student, parent, rider , horse or pony - is one which you enjoy and treasure.

Looking for a little extra support, want to work towards a specific goal, or thinking about starting your riding journey?

Private lessons are perfect for:

✨ New riders looking to book their first induction lesson and give riding a try

✨ Existing riders wanting 1:1 training tailored to them and their goals

You can also book private lunge lessons, stable management or groundwork sessions.

Just choose your slot, then change the ‘Lesson Type’ when booking. Feel free to add a booking note or speak to your coach if you have a specific area you’d like to work on😊

Wow! What an incredible day we had at our Summer Cup Championship last week! 🏆

We couldn’t be prouder of our amazing horses and riders. So much hard work went into the dressage tests and jumping rounds, and we loved seeing such great sportsmanship and horsemanship throughout the day.

A huge congratulations to our winners, Daisy and Percy, with a super double clear and a fantastic dressage score!🙌

We loved seeing everyone’s improvement and confidence grow throughout the Summer Cup training series and championship. Thank you to everyone who took part!

We’re hoping to make the Summer Cup an annual event, so who will take the title next year? 👀

It’s our annual week off so we thought we’d share what else Pony Stars have been up to recently 🌟

Pony Stars have been learning how to tie haynets correctly and all about the different types of boots horses can wear.

Leah gave them the chance to have a go first, using their best guesses, before working together to figure out what was correct. They then had a demonstration and plenty of practice putting the boots on themselves! Well done everyone 🌟

Our first ever overnight Pony Camp was one to remember and we had the BEST time!

There are more photos than we can count, so here’s the first look, and definitely not the last, at what we got up to!🤣 Late evening hacks, ba****ck riding, a pizza party and a movie night made it such a special weekend🐴

Thank you to all of our wonderful campers for making it so much fun. We’re already looking forward to hopefully doing it all again next summer! 💕
