📚🐾 A Story Begins… And A Chapter Closes 🐾📚

This Saturday, we’ll be celebrating the launch of Dudley & Boris: The Wild Adventure in Wilderswood by local author Fiona Fahlin.

Inspired by the real-life adventures of two much-loved Pike dogs, the book tells the story of friendship, loyalty and adventure through the eyes of Dudley and Boris.

📖 Fiona will be with us from 10am–3pm signing copies.
💷 Books are just £6.99.
☕ Every book purchased includes a FREE hot drink voucher.
❤️ 10% of all book sales will be donated to Blue Cross.

At 1.30pm, the day will become even more special as we plant a memorial tree and lay Dudley’s ashes to rest beneath it.

When we announced Dudley’s passing in January, over 47,000 people viewed the post, generating more than 1,400 interactions and over 500 messages of support. It was a reminder that Dudley wasn’t just our dog — he belonged to the wider Rivington community too.

For almost 15 years, he greeted walkers, posed for photos, supervised pasty deliveries and left paw prints on thousands of hearts.

We’d love anyone who knew Dudley, followed his adventures, or simply wants to support Fiona’s wonderful book and Blue Cross, to join us.

🌳🐾 A Place to Remember Those We Love 🐾🌳

When we lost our beloved Dudley Waggins, we created a little corner of Rivington where he could still be part of the place he loved most.

His memorial tree, bench and stone have become somewhere to pause, reflect and remember—not just Dudley, but all the wonderful dogs who have left paw prints on our hearts. ❤️

We’d love to invite you to become part of it.

🐕 If you’ve lost a much-loved companion, you’re welcome to hang one of their collars on the memorial fence alongside Dudley’s.

If you’d like something a little more permanent, you can also have a small tag engraved with your dog’s:

We’ll happily hang it on Dudley’s memorial tree, where it can become part of this very special place.

Many of you will remember Dudley Waggins Ltd, named after our wonderful Dudley. After taking a break while we renovated our home, we’re so excited to finally be opening the next chapter.

We’ve rebranded as Rivington Luxury Home Boarding, focusing entirely on providing a true home-from-home experience for dogs. Nestled in the beautiful countryside here in Rivington, we’ve created a calm, safe and loving environment where every guest is treated like one of our own. From countryside walks and cosy sofas to lots of cuddles and individual care, it’s everything we’d want for Boris and Mr P. Body when we’re away.
