🐾 A little note about appointments 🐾

We completely understand that life happens, and last-minute cancellations are sometimes unavoidable — we really do get it! We always try to ask for 24 hours’ notice where possible, and we’re very understanding when things come up unexpectedly.

What we do find really difficult, though, is when people don’t turn up and don’t let us know — even when we call and there’s no answer. This week alone, no-shows have cost us £150 — and for a small business, that’s a really significant amount.

We’ve never asked for deposits before, and we’ve only raised our prices twice in the last 13 years — we value our customers and we’ve always tried to keep things fair and affordable. But lately, we’ve had so many missed appointments with no notice that we’re going to have to make a change — from now on, for new bookings and certain customers, we’ll be asking for a small deposit to secure your slot.

It’s not a decision we’ve taken lightly, but every appointment we prepare for and then doesn’t happen is a real loss for us. We really appreciate your understanding and your support.
