⚠️ Please do scroll past if you are a little squeamish ⚠️

Hey everyone,

Last week, I took a bit of a tumble and sprained my ankle on Thursday. I just wanted to thank all of my clients on Thursday and Friday for being so understanding about the situation.

The dogs I had with me were amazing and were such good boys. They stayed by my side and seemed to do their best to make me feel better.

I am on the mend after some rest, ice, and elevation. I am still walking this week, but I might be a little slower than normal, which means plenty of time for sniffs!

I'm slowly getting there, so hopefully over the next couple of weeks, walks will be back to normal.

Thank you for your understanding, and I will see all of my dogs as usual this week. If there are any issues or if you would like to reschedule, please do let me know.

Many thanks,

Eleanor 🐾

It’s been 2 years since we made our first Willowkins Pet Services post 🐾 Over the last 2 years, I have had the pleasure of working with so many different dogs, cats, and lots of other animals too.

I graduated from university, which was a massive achievement in my career development. I also took on my first walking challenge in April — aiming to walk 60 miles — and we absolutely smashed it by reaching 117.13 miles.

I’m currently working on some exciting things to continue growing Willowkins, and I can’t wait to share them with you all soon. It’s not easy trusting someone to look after your fur babies, but I’ve had the pleasure of caring for some lovely — and sometimes crazy — ones 🤪

Our 2026 diary is already filling up, and availability over the summer is becoming limited. Our 2027 diary will be opening very soon, so keep an eye out for that announcement.

I want to say a massive thank you to all my clients over the last 2 years, whether you’ve been here from the very beginning or have only recently started with me. All of your support means the world, and I can’t wait to see where the next year takes me.

Many thank yous and lots of paws,

Eleanor 🐾

My most-used dog business essential is my dog walking bag—and as you can see, it’s had plenty of love!

I use this bag daily to carry treats, water, dog first aid, keys, poo bags, and all the essentials I need for walks. You name it, it has a place in my bag.

This helps me massively on dog walks, as I can carry everything I need, tailored to each dog. It makes walks much calmer and more structured.

Having my dog walking bag with all my essentials ensures an easier, happier, and calmer walk. This allows your dogs to truly enjoy their time out, with a few rewards along the way (if they’ve earned it).

You’re in the right place if your dog’s walks need to be a little different from what you see on social media 🐾

Scrolling through social media and seeing other dogs thriving in group situations—while knowing your dog doesn’t enjoy that—can be tough 💪🏻

Maybe they are reactive.
Maybe they are young.
Maybe they are nervous.
Maybe they need confidence-building because they get overwhelmed quite easily.
Maybe they are slower and just want a good sniff.

I offer calm, structured, and well-thought-out 1–1 walks that are tailored to your dog 🐕 These are shaped around you and your dog’s needs—no pressure, no rushing to get back—just a lovely, steady walk or stroll that they can truly enjoy.

The best walks happen when dogs get to do what they love most—whether that’s sniffing, playing, or simply seeing the world 🌍

Does this sound like something your dog would love? I have limited spaces for solo dog walks, so send me a message and we can have a chat 💬

If you’re worried about this, you’re not alone…

You’ve booked your holiday — flights, hotel, activities — and you’re picturing yourself relaxing without a care in the world. But then it hits you… the animals. We need pet care for our pets. And then comes the question: “Will my pet be happy with someone else?”

I get asked this a lot during my meet and greets, and it’s a completely fair question. Our pets are a huge part of our families, and trusting them in someone else’s care is a big responsibility. Let’s face it — while you’re sipping on your lovely cocktail, your only worry is your animals.

However, here at Willowkins Pet Services, I take that worry away so you can enjoy as many cocktails as you like. I send pictures and WhatsApp updates on how your animals are doing, what they’ve been up to, any training they’ve been working on, and everything in between.

So when you return, you’re relaxed enough to only worry about the endless piles of washing — and, of course, to be reunited with your pawfect pets.

Feel free to message me if you’re unsure about leaving your pets at home while you enjoy your holiday. Or look at our reviews to see many owners that have been pleased with our pet sitting service.

The part people don’t see…
Behind the wagging tails, endless cuddles, muddy paws, and the cuteness of your pets, there’s another side you don’t see.

The time spent coordinating dog photos, mapping out walks to help each dog progress, scheduling walks and pet sits into my calendar, and hours of training to provide the best care. Staying on top of current training techniques as the dog industry evolves, and keeping owners up to date about their dogs — the list goes on and on.

A lot of work happens before and after our first meet and greet to help dogs live their lives the way they want to.

I do all of this not only because it’s part of my job, but because I genuinely want every dog to enjoy life to the fullest — whether that’s having a good sniff, playing ball, or even learning to stay calm and have no reaction on a walk.

This all started because of one dog. Well, one dog 🐕‍🦺 and one cat 🐈

I have always been an animal lover from a very young age, so in 2014, when my family adopted a cat (Pumpkin), I was so excited to give her unconditional love. Now, 12 years later, she is still with us—definitely slowed down, but overall still the same gorgeous girl she was when we first rescued her.

Fast forward three years, and a family member got a lovely Beagle x Cocker puppy (Willow). She isn’t trained as the “perfect” dog, but to me and the rest of the family, she is. At the time, I was teaching her silly little tricks, a bit of agility here and there, and a few essentials she might need (recall, loose-lead walking, and basic manners).

At the time, I didn’t realise they were both giving me a purpose to help others. During lockdown in 2020, I found the drive to start learning to become a dog trainer, with a lot of support, discussions, time, and patience from my family while I studied through college and uni.

I wanted to honour both girls who helped me through this long journey—hence the name Willowkins. They gave me the determination, drive, and motivation to help other owners with their dogs, cats, and other pawsome pets.

Now I get to work with the best dogs and clients, creating lasting bonds using positive training techniques. It’s not just about the training; it’s about building a bond, not restricting yourself, and enjoying life together.

Have you ever had an animal—a dog, a cat, or any pet—change your life? Let me know in the comments 🐾

Not every win has to be huge. Take these clients, for example:

I have been walking this gorgeous cockerpoo for nearly two years now, and he was one of my first clients. His owners came to me about lead pulling. With some training and a few changes to his walking gear, he now walks on a loose lead and even enjoys some off-lead time too.

I have been walking this trio for over a year. Their owner initially came to me just looking for gentle walks; however, during the meet and greet, we agreed to incorporate training while we’re out, as they can be reactive. A year on, they can walk past other dogs with little to no reaction and enjoy a good sniff.

I have been walking this beautiful boy for over a year, and his owners came to me asking for help getting him out and about. We discussed his reactivity, and with a lot of time and patience, he is now confident walking past most dogs and people. We will continue working with him on this, but it is definitely heading in the right direction.

As you can see from the time frames, dog walking and training are no easy tasks. It takes time and patience to help some dogs get to where they are today.

These moments are what make my job so rewarding. They may not seem like huge wins in some people’s eyes, but to me—and to the dogs—they are the biggest wins possible.

Tell me something your dog has improved at this week. 🐾
