Teddy & Lola – Bonding Success! 🤍

These two were such an interesting pair to work with! Lola was so confident from day one, and was 100% convinced she had the upper hand over poor Teddy — she definitely made sure he knew she was the boss! 😂

It was lovely watching them settle and work through their little differences, and they absolutely got there in the end. They’ve turned into the most handsome, happy couple, and their bond is just lovely to see.

💔 In loving memory of beautiful Peter

Our sweet Peter passed away overnight, and our whole family is feeling his loss today.

He was the most gorgeous Rex bunny: gentle, friendly, always happy, and never far away from his favourite food! 🥕 He and his friend came to join us, and fitted right in, bonding perfectly with the rest of our bunnies in no time.

Peaches, our wonderful chief bunny, stayed right by his side at the end. She loves every member of her bunny family deeply, and today all of them are feeling quiet and sad, missing their friend.

Sleep well precious Peter — you brought so much joy, and you will always be part of our Quaintways family 🐰🤍

Owie and Snow – Bonding Success! 🐰

These two lovely bunnies came to us just to finish off their bonding – and it was such a smooth, easy process! 🥰

Thanks to their owner, who put in so much time and care with slow, gradual pre‑bonding preparation at home, all the work we usually do at the very start of a bond was already done before they arrived. That meant our job was simple: we just supported their growing bond, observed their interactions, and made sure everything stayed happy and relaxed.

They arrived Wednesday evening and were happily settled enough to go home this afternoon, with a fully stable, loving bond. It’s such a brilliant example of how taking things slow and steady at home sets rabbits up for success! 🧡

After 8 days of careful, slow bonding, Nibbles and Biscuit have gone home together! These two boys started off with quite the attitude—they were determined to fight constantly—but with structured, controlled bonding, we stopped that cycle completely. Over time, they learned to trust one another and grew to genuinely like each other.”

✨ A Beautiful Success Story! ✨

These two went home earlier today — happily bonded and doing wonderfully! 🐇💞

We introduced them slowly, using our trusted “dating method” — giving them time to meet, get used to one another, and build trust at their own gentle pace. Once they showed they were comfortable, we gradually moved to the 24‑hour living‑together method, letting them settle fully before their big day.

Now they are safely home together, happy, relaxed, and already side‑by‑side — proof that patience, respect for their pace, and careful introduction works perfectly every time.

It brings us so much joy to see them begin their new life as a loving pair! 💛

As many of you know, we made the move last year to Bolsover in Derbyshire, to our small holding. Settling in has been quite a journey – we’ve navigated the heaviest rainy season in years, and much of our equipment has had to be protected under tarpaulins as we’ve worked to get everything set up properly. Our new buildings also needed significant work to get them ready for use, and we’ve taken our time to make sure every space is safe, comfortable and fit for purpose.

To mark this new chapter and reflect our fresh start, we’ve made the decision to change our business name. There is also one sad change to share: we are no longer able to offer our dog walking service. This was a difficult decision, made following the passing of my husband a few years ago, and it’s something we have felt deeply.

However, we are still very much here and continue to offer the services we specialise in: rabbit boarding and bonding. We have purpose-built, separate areas for birds housed in a large dedicated room, plus separate spaces for all kinds of small animals too. Looking ahead, we are excited to develop even more areas to accommodate a wider variety of small pets, as we grow and improve our facilities further.

We are a family-run business, and caring for animals is at the heart of everything we do. We’re supported by a wonderful team too – including Millie, our hutch cleaner and assistant bonder who is currently training to take on more responsibilities.

It means so much to us that so many of our existing customers have stood by us through this change, and we hope you’ll continue to trust us with the care of your beloved pets. We look forward to continuing to serve the local community here in Bolsover and the surrounding area, and to welcoming you and your animals to our new home.

Thank you for your understanding and ongoing support.

Hi all! Millie here 🫶🏻

I'm sure most of you know I'm Tina's foster daughter. I love animals and since living with her and her sister, I have amassed quite a lot of my own pets that I have taken in or rescued.

I have two cats, Miss maddie moo moos (the tabby), Mr ace venture (the tux), Cheeto (the corn snake) and my three Netherlands dwarfs (Flopsy - M black, Mopsy - G brown, Cottontail - G white). I love all my pets so so much and they're all very spoilt! I love playing with them and teaching them new things!

Over the past 6 months, I have been learning about the diets, bonding and behaviours of small animals and reptiles. Recently, I have started to bond small animals with the assistance of my mum - and that includes my own rabbits!

This weekend, I took in a mini lop (called Wallace!) who's partner had sadly passed. I will be bonding him slowly over the next week or so with my trio - and so far he is making good progress with letting me pet him, play with him and being around him 🥰

I will be assisting my mum with running the page making sure to keep you all updated on our boarders, bonders and all of the fun that happens at Quaintways 🫶🏻

Beryl and Barry ( also known as Jimmy from BARC) came in for a bond. They hadn’t met before but we started of with living next to eachother in pens , with some dating . Then once all bonding behaviour stopped( we supervise constantly and stop certain behaviour so no injuries can happen . Then when they are ready we move to 24/7 bonding with constant supervision, once they stabilise and are in the large pen they move to their home . As bonds go this one was very easy as they both liked eachother from day one .
We use no stress techniques and we stop if bunnies start to become stressed . All this process is gentle and at their pace not ours! Which is the kindest form of bonding , and creates ore stable bond .
