🎓🐾 PUPS GO BACK TO SCHOOL TOO! 🐾🎓

Classes are starting again this week, so here’s a little throwback to Oakley passing his Bronze test last term!🥉🐶 He’ll be moving on up to Silver this term, and we can’t wait to see how he gets on! ⭐

But while we’re celebrating Oakley’s achievement, here’s your little reminder that every dog learns differently, and every dog progresses at their own pace ❤️

Some pups will fly through an exercise, while others might need a little more time, more repetition or a completely different approach. And that’s OK!

🐾 Don’t compare your dog’s progress to anyone else’s

🐾 Celebrate the tiny wins.. they all count!

🐾 If something isn’t working, try breaking it down into smaller steps

🐾 Keep training sessions short, positive and fun.. use tasty food or a favourite toy to motivate!

🐾 Don’t be afraid to ask your trainer for help or ideas

🐾 And most importantly… don’t give up! 💪

That thing your dog struggled with last week might suddenly click next week. Sometimes progress is two steps (or paws) forward, one step back.. and sometimes it’s just managing to pay attention when there’s another dog nearby! 😂

Every dog has their own journey. Enjoy the ride, celebrate the wins and be proud of how far your pup has come 🐶❤️

🐾🎄 RAFFLE PRIZE DONATIONS NEEDED! 🎄🐾

Our annual charity event is coming up at the end of November, and we’re looking for a few raffle prizes to help us raise as much as we can for Ability Dogs 4 Young People IoW ❤️

As this is a club event for our members, families and four-legged friends, we’re hoping our lovely club community might be able to help! 🐶

🎁 Have a new, unused item you could donate?
🍫 Got a Christmas hamper going spare?
🎟️ A voucher, gift or little something that would make a great raffle prize?

Every donation, however small, human or pet friendly, will make a difference.. and there’s a chance you might win something fabulous yourself! 😉

We’ll also have dog & human fancy dress, games, plenty of socialising and our famous wheelbarrow raffle, packed with alcoholic AND non-alcoholic goodies.. just in time for Christmas! 🎅🍾🥤

FELPHAM DOG SHOW
As part of the Felpham Festival - Fun In The Park on Saturday 8th August we will be holding our first dog show!

All categories are open to everyone no matter what parish you live in however we have one final category 'THE CHAIRMAN'S CUP' which is free to enter and reserved for Felpham Residents only. Could your dog be the face of Felpham for 2026? Could he/she be our new mascot?

The dog show will start at 11.30am with registration taking place on the day from 11am.
For the comfort and safety of our canine friends the arena will be held in the shade, with professional Judges and Veterinary Nurses in attendance.

This event will be subject to weather and obviously if temperatures are too high a decision will be made on the day.

For ease of access if you wish to enter your dog please use the Summerley Lane entrance.
