Hallagenna Stables and Rare Breed Farm offers horse riding, riding holidays, farm tours and comfortable self-catering cottages in the heart of Bodmin Moor, Cornwall. From one hour hacks, two hour pub rides or five hour trail rides, we can cater for all abilities from novice to experienced rider. Riders can come for a short day ride or stay with us for short breaks or longer holidays in one of our modern, comfortable cottages. Equipped to a very high standard, with log burners, wood flooring and comfy beds, our cottages are ideally located to explore all of Cornwall. We’re now parting with our 9 castlemilk moorits and 3 Manx Loaghtan ewes
Please see bloodlines in pictures, all up to date with wormer, feet, blue tongue and Heptavac.
Manx Loaghtan 2 ewes are 5yrs proven lambers 1 ewe 17 months £65 each
Castlemilk moorits starter flock happy for the ewe lambs to go separate but ram to go with older ewes will not split!
Fantastic fun sheep to have, friendly, easy lambers 6 ewes,1 ram, 2 ewe lambs (related to ram) £720 or £80 each.

After a long and challenging season, we’ve made the decision to temporarily close for the winter months.

Our riding activities will be open throughout the October half-term and will close from 1st November, and the farm will remain closed over the winter period with no Halloween activities. We will be in touch in the coming days with those that have purchased tickets.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to every one of you for making 2026 such a fantastic season. We’ve had an incredible year, and now it’s time for us to take a little time out and enjoy some much-needed rest together as a family.

Please note, our holiday cottages will remain open as usual.

Our 5 gorgeous Embden geese are looking for a new home, we have 4 girls that we’ve reared and then Gary who is very chilled they will follow you everywhere, recently wormed and all fit and healthy, all 1yrs old, male unrelated to the girls.

Due to wanting to concentrate on certain breeds plus other commitments we’ve made the hard decisions to part with some of our livestock,
We have 3 gorgeous well handled golden guernseys, 1 billy and 2 unrelated doe goats to go together, All are up to date with worming, feet,bluetounge and Heptavac.
This is not an easy decision so no time wasters! Bloodlines are in the pictures.
