Little Margate Equestrian We are a friendly family run Equestrian Centre in the heart of Cornwall.

We welcome riders from outside our yard for lessons with Rachel, we operate a Pony Share scheme, run a professional yet friendly livery yard and our arena is also available for hire, with or without showjumps. If you have your own facilities, Rachel is happy to travel to you for lessons - just ask!! Our professional, friendly team strive to offer a first class service to both horse and rider and are always happy to chat about your requirements - please give us a ring, email or just pop in!!

🍂🐴 AUTUMN HACKS DAY! 🐴🍂

There’s nothing better than exploring the beautiful woods through the most special pair of ears 🐴🍁🌳 Join us on Sunday 25th October for a day of autumn hacks, taking in the beautiful scenery 🍂🌳.

🐎 Rides and times:

🍁 9am – 11am: Two-hour autumn hack
🌳 12pm – 1pm: One-hour woodland hack
🍂 2pm – 3:30pm: Autumn hack with some cantering!

Last weekend we headed to Pontispool camp and what a weekend we had 🤩! The weather was almost perfect bar a little rain briefly on Saturday morning but that didn’t dampen our spirits! We had chief coach Mandy, Rachel and Faith teaching all weekend and each group achieved SO much 🥹, seeing the progress from start to finish was just incredible to see! The food and accommodation was brilliant as always and it really feels like a home from home now as we have been so many times 🥰. Our favourite thing to see at camps is the encouragement and support everyone gives each other and most of all the love for their epic ponies 🥹🥰. We are now ready and raring for a winter full of training and fun! We are busy plotting lots of exciting things 🥰 Photos by the insanely talented Julia Powney Photography 🩷. Xx

This lady here in the burgundy jumper is our superstar coach Sarah. On Fridays I teach at the opposite end of the arena to her and last week I took this photo knowing she so deserved a ‘Sarah Appreciation Post.’

This lady has a wealth of experience and knowledge under her belt. She cares for the horses and ponies so deeply, understands them all and looks after her clients so incredibly well. I hear her chatting, laughing and joking with them, but I also hear her offering sympathy, wiping away tears and knowing exactly when to push and when it would be the wrong time to do that. She instills SO much confidence in her riders and is always fully booked when she is teaching….that is a sure sign of an incredible coach! Sarah is also a qualified RDA (Riding for the disabled) coach and makes such a difference to so many people.

Her amazing enthusiasm, energy and dedication motivates me every single time I teach alongside her.

Sarah….thankyou SO much. We feel very grateful to have you as part of our LME team 🫶

LME OCTOBER PONTISPOOL CAMP 2026

2nd - 4th October.

****We have had two people who have had to pull out at the last minute due to a poorly horse 🥺 So this means we have TWO UNEXPECTED SPACES THAT HAVE BECOME AVAILABLE if anyone would like to join us! ****

Our Spring and Autumn camps at Pontispool are most definitely right up at the top of our favourite days of the year….We just have so much fun. The food is incredible and the caterers are the nicest and kindest people, the facilities are amazing, our coaches are insane, Julia always gets the very best pictures, everyone always achieves so much and we always come away feeling so sad it’s over, but so grateful to have had the very best time with everyone.

What a beautiful (and busy!) Saturday in the sunshine!! ☀️

We have had a really busy Saddle Club day….think Pony Club for grown ups with THE nicest bunch of ladies!! They have enjoyed hacking through the forestry, stable management sessions, a talk from the incredible Kay, lessons in the arena and then thanks to the wonderful Tamsyn and Michelle, a super yummy BBQ to finish off the day.

We have also been lucky enough to have a jumping clinic running all day with the wonderful Kay Simpson. Kay has been so busy all day and I’m always blown away by her knowledge, enthusiasm and her ability to get the best out of every rider. Every single person has come out of that arena buzzing and feeling like they have achieved so much. Kay we are super grateful you make the journey down to us….Thankyou 🫶

AUTUMN HACKING through the forestry….this Sunday.

We have had a few lovely messages recently from people saying things like….’Your yard looks so lovely, I wish we could come along and ride as Adults.’

YOU CAN! 🥰

We have loadssssss of options for Adults….some of our Adults group lessons are also discounted to make things as accessible as possible for everyone 💵

Weekly on a Tuesday morning at 10am (during term time) we run an Adults Group Lesson. Suitable for anyone who is off the lead rein and above.

Fortnightly on a Tuesday evening we run two Adults Group Lessons….one at 5pm and one at 6pm. Our booking system will show you the one most suited to your riding ability.

Weekly on a Thursday evening at 6pm we have a beginners group lesson just for Adults. Perfect for those who have never ridden or have only done so a couple of times.

On the last Saturday of each month we run a full day Adults Saddle Club. Think Pony Club but for grown ups, with the nicest bunch of ladies! It doesn’t matter what riding ability you are at, everyone is welcome.

We also run an Adults Membership Club which includes a group riding lesson once a month on a Friday evening and a social evening afterwards with bubbles and nibbles.

Not forgetting our Adults Camps, Clinics and Summer Evening competitions, that we run too!!

As well as the above group options we also run private lessons right through the week which lots of adults use when it’s quieter, plus we have group lessons adults can join in with on a Thursday evening too.
