Double doggie sit this last week and what gorgeous furbabies they all were 🐶🥰. Its been hard work keeping all the diggy dogs cool in this heatwave. Remember, a dog wont die from a lack of walk... but they will die of heat exhaustion. 🥵

HEAT WAVE No 3 MAYBE ON THE WAY....

Good afternoon,

With high pressure taking hold feom midweek onwards this week, by Sunday temperatures are looking likely ro sore once again, reaching 25 degrees plus, and by Monday next week, looking possibly to be back up in the high twenties, low thirties once again.

By the time we get to mid next week, we could be back seeing mid thirties, and high humidity, and night time temperatures back up in the high teens, low twenties.

I've attached maximum temperatures for Sunday, Monday & Tuesday nwxt week, showing the potential things to heat back up once again, and it looks likely to be a prolonged heat wave lasting to st least the following weekend.

More on this later in the week, as we see the high pressure move in, and its positioning, as that is key to what will actually unfold.

🐾 HOT WEATHER WARNING FOR DOG OWNERS 🐾

With the temperatures rising across the UK, please remember that if it feels hot to you, it feels even hotter to your dog.

Dogs can’t cope with heat the same way we can, and walking them during the hottest parts of the day can quickly become dangerous. Pavements can burn paws within seconds, and heatstroke can happen far faster than many people realise.

A few important reminders:
☀️ Walk early morning or later in the evening
🌳 Stick to shaded areas where possible
💧 Always carry fresh water
🚫 Never leave dogs in cars — even for “just 5 minutes”
🐾 Check the pavement with the back of your hand for 7 seconds before walking

Signs of heatstroke can include excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, vomiting, wobbling, or collapse. If you notice any of these symptoms, seek veterinary help immediately.

Not every dog needs a long walk every day — sometimes a shorter sniff walk, garden time, enrichment games, or rest indoors is the safest option.

Please keep your four-legged family members safe during this hot spell ❤️🐶
