✨ DROOL DROP ✨

It’s been a little while since we’ve shared a Drool Drop… 🐾🐕

A little collection of moments from life in the fields muddy paws, happy faces, friendships, freedom, adventures and dogs just getting to be dogs.

No posing. No perfect pictures. Just little snapshots caught in between all the important stuff.

Because behind every photo is so much more friendships growing, confidence building, personalities shining through, moments of connection, play, rest, learning and all the little interactions that make up their days with us.

Some moments we catch on camera, so many we don’t — and we quite like it that way. Our eyes, hands and attention are always with the dogs first. 🐾

Because these are the moments that make our days.

And these lot really do make our dreams come true. 🥹🐶🌈

Sometimes the most beautiful moments in the field aren’t just about play… they’re about watching dogs learn, grow and make their own social choices. 🐾🌈

Apollo joined us over a year ago, and is still very much in his teenage puppy years. As his hormones kicked in, we saw all those big adolescent traits come through like chasing, pestering, not always taking no for an answer and sometimes finding it difficult to know when another dog needed space.

Over time, we’ve watched him mature. As he’s settled, his true expression has started to shine through more and more. 🩵

Then along came Zeus. 💜

Zeus joined us around a month ago and began his journey with his Discovery Week. After coming from Dogs Trust and having a start in life that left his nervous system struggling to feel completely safe in his body, his environment and his relationships, we’ve been allowing him the time and space to build trust and confidence at his own pace.

Although Apollo and Zeus had spent time around one another, we hadn’t yet given them lots of freedom to really explore a friendship together.

Because in many ways, Apollo was meeting himself from months ago.

And we wanted to see what he would choose.

At first, Apollo didn’t quite know what to do. So we didn’t step in and make the decision for him. We gave him space. We gave him time to think, feel and work it out.

And he did. 🥹

He showed us just how much he has matured and how capable he has become of making his own social decisions.

Then something shifted.

Apollo opened his heart to Zeus… and the boys played, and played, and played. 💙

A beautiful new friendship beginning right in front of us.

This is why we believe so deeply in giving dogs the space to be dogs to learn about themselves, understand one another, build confidence and develop their own social understanding.

Sometimes growth looks like learning how to play.

And sometimes it looks like knowing when you’re ready to. 🌈🐾

⭐ ZEUS’S DISCOVERY WEEK ⭐

This little face has a story behind it. 💛

Zeus is still in the first half of his very first year of life, but he’s already experienced an enormous amount of change.

After coming through Dogs Trust, Zeus found his new family — a family who absolutely adore him, and who he very clearly adores right back. 🥹🐾

Then came another big step…

Starting Skool of Drool.

For any young dog, entering a completely new environment filled with new people, dogs, smells, sounds and expectations is a lot to process. For a young rescue dog whose world has already changed significantly, we have to look a little deeper.

Because dogs don’t leave their previous experiences at the gate.

They bring them with them — in their communication, their confidence, their responses and sometimes in the things their nervous system isn’t quite ready for yet.

And that’s exactly why our Discovery Week exists. 🌱

Zeus wasn’t expected to walk through our gates and immediately know how to “socialise.”

Instead, we listened.

We watched. We gave him space. We introduced experiences thoughtfully. We allowed him to observe, process and choose when he was ready to take another step.

And over the course of just one week, something beautiful started happening…

The unsure wee boy began exploring.

Exploring became engaging.

Engaging became playing.

And by the end of the week, we were seeing ZEUS. ❤️

The playful, curious, happy young boy underneath that initial uncertainty — making friends, responding to guidance, finding his confidence and, eventually, giving us those glorious zoomies. 😂

There is so much more to this wee boy’s Discovery Week than we could ever fit into one caption.

So swipe through and read Zeus’s story. ➡️🌈

It’s a little glimpse into why we believe socialisation isn’t simply about putting dogs together — it’s about understanding the dog standing in front of you and helping them feel safe enough to show you who they are.

And Zeus?

We think he’s only just getting started. 🥹🐾

Welcome to the Skool of Drool family, wee man. We’re so proud of you. 🌈

Bailie 🤍🌈

Second generation OG crew.

His sister Coco passed away not even four months ago, and deep down I knew he wouldn’t last much longer without her. They had such a beautiful relationship.

Bailie was the best big brother from the moment bouncy puppy Coco joined the home. He was with us five days a week from the day he joined us, over a decade ago.

It’s impossible for me and the team not to grieve these dogs like they’re our own.

Building a business back then, when you didn’t even realise you were building a business. You were just living and working with this incredible species God blessed us with. I was just having the best days every day with my best friends. Friends who were with me every day, some for 17 years, from when I first began this journey.

How unbelievably blessed does that make me?

I am so grateful for what Bailie brought to my life and for all his love, lessons and wisdom. It’s because of relationships with dogs like Bailie that I have the understanding, love and mission I have today.

He was brave, strong, soft, calm and fun. If he loved you, he loved you softly but powerfully.

His voice would only be heard when it really needed to be, and when he spoke, you listened. He didn’t have to command respect. His energy already brought it.

When we say goodbye to our generations of OGs like Bailie, we are honouring the ones who paved the way. The ones who helped mould and create what we see today. A space for dogs to be authentic, to be free, and to mould the energy of what we hold there.

Bailie, we already miss you terribly. Our hearts adore you.

And I personally thank you, Coco and your mum Gillian for the wave of magic you brought to my life. 🤍

P.S Big Boab says he can still feel his buddy’s spirit sitting with him under the tree 🌳 watching over the kingdom!

Fly high beautiful. Thanks for sharing your heart with us!

Love Auntie Viv & all your Skool of Drool Family! 🐾🌈

Happy Birthday to one of the most special souls we know. 🤍

Lexi first came to the field when she was just 10 years old.

School was never where she truly felt at home, but the field became a place where she could simply be herself. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of watching her grow into the incredible young woman she is today.

This photo is one I’ll always treasure.

Lenny was one of our beloved OAPs. He was part of the Skool of Drool family for 13 wonderful years. He watched Lexi grow up… and she watched him grow old.

There is something so deeply beautiful about that.

People often think dog daycare is simply somewhere your dog stays while you’re at work.

But this is why it’s never been just that to us.

It’s relationships.
It’s growing up together.
It’s growing older together.
It’s sharing life’s chapters with dogs who become family.

When I asked the girls what they loved most about Lexi, this is what they said…

17 things we love about you… 🤍

🤍 Your calm and confident person
🤍 Your ability to make each person smile and laugh at least once a day.
🤍 Dougie listen’s to you 🤣
🤍 You can run rings round even the fastest of dogs.
🤍 The way you just know what every dog needs and wants instinctively.
🤍 You don’t beat about the bush.
🤍 You give the most amazing hugs.
🤍 The dogs all adore you, unconditionally.
🤍 Kind.
🤍 Thoughtful.
🤍 Does anything for anyone.
🤍 Brilliant memory.
🤍 Funny.
🤍 Creative.
🤍 Chilled/laid-back.
🤍 Dog whisperer.
🤍 Woof. Woof woof. Woof. Wooooof. 🐾 (Translation: “We love you.”)

And for me…

I see one of the gentlest, kindest, most connected souls I’ve ever met. Someone whose quiet gifts can’t be taught. Someone who gives so much of herself to the dogs every single day without ever asking for recognition.

I only hope that one day you see yourself the way we all see you.

Happy Birthday, Lexi. Thank you for growing up with us, for loving our dogs as deeply as you do, and for simply being you.

We all love you so much. 🤍🐾🌈
