Waggy Tails Bearsden Waggy Tails Bearsden Waggy Tails is a Kennel Club Accredited non-profit dog training club run by a group of dedicated volunteers.

Our aim is to provide fun learning for dogs in a relaxed enviroment which both handler and dog can enjoy. If you are interested in joining our Puppy, Junior or Beginners Classes, please send your details to [email protected] and we will happily provide more information.

Summer holidays are officially over! Time to get up and get back to training!
Classes start back on Tuesday 1st September at 6.45pm.
We still have a couple of spaces on our 12 week Puppy Training and Socialization course so get in touch if you have a new addition to your family.
We look forward to seeing all our members and welcoming new ones.

Some of you have tried Rally at the club, with some brilliant performances. It is unfortunate that there are so few competitions in Scotland (usually one a year). Instructors Elsa and Laura recently travelled to near Durham to compete over a weekend and we are delighted to say that both Eden and Tweed attained their titles RL2Ex. This means they are now in Level 3, which is all off lead and much harder. We had better start practicing!

Thank you to everyone who came to our last night before the Summer break. It was lovely to see the puppies graduate and all of them are going to continue on to the next level. As always, the games were good fun and Angus the black Labrador won almost everything! Well done to his owners as it just shows how far they have come with this lovely boy.
For the rest of the evening, we decided to do games at the river but, unfortunately, the midgies were playing too and we were forced back to the hall. It was still a good night though, with Button the Leonberger being crowned overall Champion.

There seems to be a 24/48 hour bug doing the rounds. Three of our dogs have had it. One of the dogs became so ill it developed into haemorrhagic gastroenteritis. Please be vigilant if your dog develops diarrhoea and symptoms such as blood being passed and pale gums. Consult your vet immediately if you have any concerns
We are taking the precaution to cancel the classes tonight and refund everyone. The only class going ahead will be the puppy class as its the first aid talk.

🐾 Dogs, cats, rabbits, gerbils, and most other pets you can think of are welcome on our trains. We love seeing your photos of your favourite four‑legged friends heading off on an adventure with us.

Just a wee reminder: please keep them on a lead or in their carriers for the whole journey and keep paws off the seats/tables, as some people have allergies. 🐶🐭

Last night, it was so warm we made the decision to do the puppy talk downstairs as the smaller room was cooler. Then, after working on the "down" and "look" commands, we decided to have an offlead puppy playtime in the river! It was really special to see the puppies running about together outside and the highlight was seeing Shug The Dug swimming. Who knew a Scottie could swim so well?
