One of my cats is an old boy aged getting up to 20, with no teeth! He has for the past year been loosing weight to the point he was at the vets and weighed just 3kg. He's had all blood tests and nothing significant so I've turned to his diet. I remembered a food called Katkin one of my lovely clients has and thought I'd try that. It comes frozen and you defrost it. Toby likes it warmed up a little from fridge temperature and for the past month or so has been devouring it. Now he's always enjoyed his food but it seems his bog standard pouches were not having an impact dispite 4/5 a day. He also has a very sensitive tummy and other foods I've tried have not had a good effect. Katkins has been remarkable and he has now 2/3 katkins a day. His tummy and poops have been the best 💩 and he's steadily gaining weight again. His protruding bones are slowly disappearing! His energy levels have also gone up massively - He's obviously gaining alot of nutrients from better digestion. It's gently cooked proteins with zero crap in. If you look at the meat content on your standard kitty food it really is abysmal.
