⚠️ Warning: Excessive cuteness ahead… Meet Nora! 💜🐾

Isn’t she gorgeous? 😍

Nora is a 10-month-old Irish Doodle who popped into the shop on Friday for a harness fitting. Her puppy harness had finally become a little too snug, so it was time for an upgrade!

As Nora and her family spend lots of time exploring the countryside, we fitted her with a Dog & Co padded harness. These are brilliant for active dogs as they offer plenty of freedom around the legs for those big, bouncy strides, while the soft padding keeps them comfortable on longer walks. The strappy design is ideal for dogs who like to get out and about without feeling too restricted.

After trying a few options, we settled on this beautiful purple medium harness. Now, Nora’s Daddy was hoping for something a little more “manly” this time around… but we all agreed that purple is definitely Nora’s colour! 💜

Nora was an absolute superstar throughout her fitting. She stood beautifully, was incredibly patient, and took all the fuss in her stride. In fact, she was so good that her human, Emma, couldn’t resist treating her to a matching Ancol collar and lead too!

Admittedly, the daisy pattern is still on the girly side… but when you look this fabulous, who cares? 🌼✨

Well done, Nora! You were a very good girl and you look absolutely awesome. We can’t wait to see you strutting your stuff on your countryside adventures! 🐕💜

A huge congratulations to our neighbours at North West Discount Pets on winning at the Coastal Radio Local Business Awards! 🎉🏆

We are absolutely made up for you all. Running an independent pet business takes a lot of hard work, dedication, and passion, so it’s fantastic to see that effort recognised. A very well-deserved win!

Unfortunately, it wasn’t our night this time, but honestly, we’re just incredibly grateful to have been nominated and to have made it into the Top 5 in the Animal Centric category. When you look at the amazing pet-related businesses that were shortlisted alongside us, we feel so lucky and proud to have been included among them.

Most importantly, we’d like to say a huge thank you to all of our wonderful customers. Your support, loyalty, recommendations, likes, shares, and friendly faces through the door are the reason we get to do what we love every day. We genuinely couldn’t do it without you.

✨ Well… scrub us up and we don’t look too bad! ✨

Tonight, me and Geena have swapped our pet shop uniforms for our best frocks as we’re heading to the Coastal Radio Local Business Awards! 🏆🐾

We’re absolutely delighted (and still a little bit shocked!) to have made it into the Top 5 in the Animal Centric Business category. To be recognised alongside so many fantastic local businesses is an achievement in itself.

Of course, we spend most of our days talking dog food, fitting harnesses, lifting bags of pet food and cuddling customers’ pets, so getting dressed up for a glamorous evening makes quite the change. Turns out we can do both! 💃🐶

Whether we come home with a trophy or not, we’re already winners thanks to the incredible support we’ve received from all of you. Every customer who shops with us, recommends us, likes our posts, shares our content, and trusts us with their pets has helped make moments like this possible.

So wish us luck for tonight! 🤞 But honestly, we’re just thrilled to be there representing our little pet shop and our amazing community.

🚨 WE’RE BACK OPEN! 🚨

After an amazing couple of days soaking up the sunshine in Ibiza, we’re back where we belong… serving our wonderful customers and their furry, feathered and fluffy friends! ☀️🐶🐰🐦

There is just one small issue…

Due to a delayed flight home, our Jodie is currently operating on approximately 3 hours of very interrupted sleep. 😴✈️

So if she:
🐾 Calls your rabbit a hamster
🐾 Tries to put dog treats on the bird shelf
🐾 Stares blankly into the distance for a few seconds before answering a question

Please be kind. She’s doing her best. 😂

The good news is the holiday was fantastic, the batteries are (mostly) recharged, and we’re delighted to be back seeing all of our lovely customers again.

Thank you as always for your support while we were away. Pop in and say hello, but maybe don’t ask Jodie to do any complicated maths until she’s had at least three coffees! ☕🤣

🌴🐾 Even when we’re on holiday, we’re never really off duty! 🐾🌴

While enjoying a well-earned break, our Geena couldn’t resist slipping back into pet shop mode when she met the handsome Bowie! 🐶❤️

Bowie’s owners were chatting with Geena about his diet, and before you know it, she was sharing tips and advice on how to get the most nutritious balance for him. Some things never change! 😂

As for Bowie, being a Spanish gentleman, we’re fairly certain he wasn’t too interested in the nutritional discussion. We suspect he thought Geena was there purely to provide treats, fuss, and the all-important belly rubs! 🤣🐾

It just goes to show that whether we’re in the shop or away on holiday, we always love talking about pets and helping owners give them the very best care possible.

Thanks for making a fuss of us, Bowie – you certainly made our day! ❤️🐶

TODAY’S THE DAY!!! ✈️🐾

Just a reminder that we will be closing today at the earlier time of 2pm, so make sure you pop in and stock up on all your pet essentials before then 😊

Me and Geena will be flying off this afternoon and won’t be back until Monday evening, refreshed, recharged and ready to start again on Tuesday 💚

We do sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused by the boss’s complete inability to read a calendar properly 🙄😂 Booking the annual holiday for the weekend AFTER bank holiday probably wasn’t the greatest idea!
