BEST BEGINNER COMPETITION GROOMER!! 🏆🥹

Well, I really didn’t expect to be writing this! I’ve only gone and won Best Beginner Competition Groomer at the High Achievement Awards 🥹🏆 I’m a Groomer… Get Me Out of Hair!

I couldn’t make it to the awards with our wedding two weeks ago and another wedding next week, so I was actually on the phone to Abi planning our next competition when my phone went absolutely wild with messages from everyone there and watching the live 😂

It’s my second year competing, but the first I’ve really thrown myself into it, so I’m ridiculously proud to have my hard work recognised.

A massive thank you to AbFab Bespoke Dog Grooming . I honestly wouldn’t have started competing without her. She gave me work experience after my training while I was building my salon, helped me massively improve and has continued to push me and build my confidence ever since. And somehow I gained a really good friend along the way too.

Thank you to my husband, family, friends and everyone who has supported me, helped with my dogs and put up with all the competition talk 😂

My little collection of rosettes is getting pretty ridiculous now, especially knowing it all started with Crufts.

So bloody proud. 🏆❤️

So I got married today. I am now Mrs McConnell 🥹

I’m now off on honeymoon for a few days but will be back to reality and covered in dog hair on Tuesday 🐩

I am now out of the salon till Tuesday 22nd 🤍
I’ll be taking some time away from messages too, so I won’t be replying until I’m back! 🐾

The rest of this year is now incredibly busy so please make sure your dogs are booked in. I know some people have been shocked when I’ve told them my next availability.

🫧Doodle or Poodle?🐩

Meet Teddy

Teddy has been coming to me for a few years now and that tongue is always hanging out 👅

That’s why he has a shaved face. Teddy is a Cockapoo and although his mum loves the round Teddy face, he really doesn’t cope with scissors around his face.

So for Teddy’s best interests, and to keep his grooms as stress free as possible, he gets a gorgeous little poodle face instead 😍✂️

The postman finally delivered 🥹🏵️

Already shared the results, but seeing them all together hits different. And that Special Recognition rosette means a LOT 🤍

A little before & after from this gorgeous rescue girl’s first groom with me 🐩

Honestly, one of the most rewarding grooms. She stood perfectly for me from start to finish and was the sweetest, most loving girl 🥹

Sometimes it’s not about the fancy grooms it’s moments like this that remind me why I love what I do 🤍
